In this position, you will be part of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which develops, manufactures, and markets blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. With 1,500 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
Thermo Fisher IDD is looking for a Digital Content Strategist who can provide the leadership needed to continue developing our aggressive digital strategies. You may be the right person if you are a skilled storyteller and self-starter who understands how to create and optimize content that helps push users along the buyer journey. Impeccable editorial judgment, familiarity with AP style, and the ability to provide actionable feedback is needed to be a key member of the digital content team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- With the senior executive editor, responsible for delivering an extraordinary user experience across multiple personas/buyer types.
- Integrate our web audience, proprietary data, email, and social platforms to develop a cohesive strategy for the publication of all content in a way that drives audience growth and engagement.
- WIth the senior executive editor lead the creation, editing, curation, and posting of content on our site(s) and across other digital channels.
- Serve as content liaison between multiple internal groups to ensure clarity of goals and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain key agency relationships.
- Adhere to and enforce editorial style as well as content approval and branding guidelines for web content.
- Contribute to strategic and tactical marketing planning and content strategy.
- Apply SEO initiatives and best practices to content to strengthen and optimize both website and keyword rankings.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, English, or related field.
- Experience creating and executing content strategy and development programs, including buyer journeys and buyer personas. Writing for both B2B and B2C audiences.
- Understands how site visitors interact with written content online and has experience with SEO-first writing.
- Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills.
- Agency management and digital strategy experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in working on multidisciplinary teams and collaborating in an international environment.
- Publishing or agency experience preferred.
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Experience Strategist and preferably AEM 6.2 desired but not required. Other tools in use include Eloqua, Hootsuite, and other multichannel tools.
- This position requires international travel – up to 25%, as required.
