This role is focused on partnering with Walmart.com and Online Pick Up

 

This role is responsible for delivering Mars Petcare Top line and bottom line growth objectives through insights, data, and ROI based selling and digital activation.  The Dog Digital Activation Manager is expected to be an expert on Walmart.com and Online Pick-Up and Delivery Category performance, Shopper trends and have the ability to develop brand and item growth solutions, search, and media executions for Mars Petcare at Walmart. The Dog Digital Activation Manager will utilize POS category, brand, and shopper data to plan, develop and lead the implementation of Mars digital growth strategy with Walmart Pet Buyers.  The Dog Digital Activation Manager is responsible to deliver Perfect Digital store scorecard and annual growth. This role will work closely with the Digital Capabilities Team Lead and Omni Marketing Manager to manage/execute all aspects of digital financial performance, both short and long-term.  This role will work closely with other members of the Walmart Inc. team to manage and deliver growth and financial targets across the total Walmart enterprise.

 

What Are We Looking For?
•Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
•5+ years focused digital activation or ecommerce account management experience.
•Background in sales account management and/or category account management required
•Proven ability to manage, motivate, and lead people and processes.
•Strong creative thinker with the ability to development and activate unique solutions that support the overall strategy.
•Must have strong command skills with the ability to present and influence at various levels across the organization both internally and with key customers.
•Possess the ability, confidence, and drive to isolate big opportunities and activate behind them.
•Must demonstrate highly developed project management skills.
•Clearly demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize workload.
•Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

 

What Would Be Your Key Responsibilities?
•Support Delivery of annual business targets – NSV, Earnings, Cash, and Share
•Define drivers of digital growth by brand at micro and macro level.
•Responsible for working Directly with Dog Team Lead for the tactical, daily execution of the business to include merchandising objectives, new item acceptance, budget adherence, and building customer relationships (buyer and assistant buyer level). 
•Identify and Synthesize customer and business insights, using quantitative and qualitative data to inform the discovery of new product opportunities.
•Work jointly with Business Team Lead to position Mars as Pet Category thought leader and deliver Mars brand growth objectives. 
•Is considered the expert on the current Walmart and Mars category performance, brand performance while actively developing future digital growth strategy.
•Collaborate across internal and external stakeholders (including category, sales, sales planning , and finance) to identify key insight needs and need gaps as pertaining to the assigned category (dog); align with Team Lead on need gaps to close customer selling story and plans to fill aligned need gaps.
•Present compelling selling stories and solutions to internal and external customers to build support and consensus.
•Conduct periodic category and brand performance reviews, delivering findings and recommendations to the Walmart Inc. team and the customer. 
•Analyze and communicate the future and emerging needs within assigned segments so that Mars Petcare is in a position to compete and lead change within Walmart Pet Category. 
•Provide input in the area of collaborative planning, recommending new approaches and processes that ensure better customer planning, input, and alignment of improved activity sets. 
•Drive customer engagement through long-range planning and the advancement of sustainable category growth strategies in collaboration with internal (e.g shopper & category insights, marketing, sales) and external customer partners (e.g. WMG, marketing, and merchandising).
