We are currently seeking a Digital Engineering Functional Analyst to join our Product Operations Center of Excellence (PROCOE) team. The candidate will be based at any Eaton US Facility. The Digital Engineering Functional Analyst (FA) will design, model, configure, and implement functional software and process solutions to meet desired business requirements. The FA will analyze business processes and systems processes & recommend improvements that use standard Eaton software and processes. This FA will participate in implementations and third level support as required and must have the ability to understand and drive regional solutions and implement controls that are fully auditable and compliant with business and control standards. This Digital Engineering Functional Analyst will be responsible to work in a highly matrixed organization spanning domestic and international locations. The FA will analyze processes and recommend improvements that use capabilities of existing or emerging engineering design, simulation, and automation software. The FA is to be the subject matter expert for the design, development and implementation activities of digital design processes and information system solutions used across Eaton. Also as needed, will plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the duties involved personally or through subordinate supervisors. In this role you will: Be responsible for in-depth functional & business process knowledge of target application Work in partnership with divisional and regional business process owners on system requirements, processes, and systems. Manage requirements scope & disposition through process compliance & gap analysis, integration testing & user acceptance methodology. Provide knowledge and input on the system implications of business process changes. Help to identify consolidated, worldwide target processes. Demonstrate analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements. Apply project methodology and governance processes to the change control, system development life cycle and regression testing. Support end to end processes and has intermediate level understanding of system touch points. Work with the global governance team to ensure proposed solutions are in-line global solutions. Participate in business process improvement committees as needed. Demonstrate strong communication skills - able to interact with senior level leaders at divisional or regional level. Able to explain complex system issues and decision points using common business language (without using IT terms and language) Cultivate innovation Think and Act Strategically by demonstrating an in-depth understanding of certain businesses and/or functions. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required Minimum 7 years of IT experience is required Strong level of system expertise - gathered through numerous full-life cycle projects. Experienced knowledge of applications' technical capabilities. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Position Criteria: Understanding of Engineering processes and full lifecycle of product development Experience with technologies for Engineering information management such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM) Experience with implementing technologies for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Model-Based Definition (MBD), and Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) Experience with process automation for Engineering design and simulation activities Passion for learning and understanding tools and new innovate technologies that can enable Engineering digitalization Ability to understand complex business needs and model solutions using software and process improvements, potentially leveraging multiple software modules and/or solutions. Able to interact with and discuss business process requirements and changes with divisional and regional leadership teams Advanced level of system expertise - gathered through numerous full-life cycle projects. Advanced knowledge of applications' technical capabilities. Intermediate understanding of some of Eaton key application(s) and/or IT Infrastructure. Intermediate understanding of how the Strategy Plan pertains to their role and project(s) in the organization. Intermediate understanding of integration and impact points of involved systems globally for a division or function. Preferred Qualifications: Completed numerous full life-cycle projects Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $101,360 - $139,370 with flexibility based on skill and experience level.
