Eaton Corporation has an opening for a functional analyst in its Web & Marketing Technologies Program. The primary responsibility of the functional analyst is to work with business teams, functional teams, project deployment teams, Eaton customers and IT staff to design, implement and drive adoption of global web platforms and processes. The successful candidate will model, configure, and implement functional software and process solutions to meet desired business requirements. The individual in this role will analyze business & systems processes, recommending improvements that use standard Eaton software and processes. They will participate in implementations and third level support as required. The functional analyst will work with project teams and IT staff to support the entire systems lifecycle (requirements, design, build, test and deploy). The functional analyst will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of program artifacts that define the standard features and methodology for program solutions. This position will be an integral member of the COCOE Web and Marketing Technologies team, interfacing with the sales and marketing teams in EMEA. Primarily supporting Eaton.com and My.Eaton.com, the analyst will work with the technical development team leveraging agile and scrum methodologies and performing story grooming activities to get user stories to a development ready state. The individual will work closely with front end system developers, functional experts and program managers on continuous improvement projects and user adoption. Your main responsibilities: • Participates in implementation/enhancement projects for the Web & Marketing Technologies program. • Partners with business users on requirements, processes & systems. • Participates in the entire project lifecycle: analysis of proposed process/system changes. • Helps manage requirements scope & disposition through process compliance & gap analysis, integration testing & user acceptance methodology. • Gathers requirement using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, process analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints. • Management of approved requirements specifications & verification of implementation scope. • Provides knowledge & input on system implications of process changes. • Completes project related deliverables including future state design documentation and requirements documentation. • Participates in unit testing, integration testing support & review of training materials. • Supports user acceptance testing events and schedules. • Responsible for intermediate level system configurations • Prepares and provides training as required to business process owners and other key stakeholders. • Facilitates regression testing for global solutions as needed prior to migrating to productive system • Effectively communicates the status for deliverables to project management and leadership to effectively mitigate risks and resolve issues. • Responsible for applying business knowledge and best practices toward solution design for the system. Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience • Good level of system functional expertise and technical capabilities. Adobe Experience Manager or similar CMS experience preferred • Facilitation, business level communication, problem solving, business process design, completed at least one full lifecycle project, comfortable in business situations with external customers.
