Eaton’s IT Division is hiring a Digital Factory I4.0 Systems Analyst to join our team. This position is based at any Eaton U.S. facility. The position is eligible for hybrid work setup. Position Overview: Join Eaton’s Information Technology team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects, and new platforms. We are transforming to a Product Centric Organization utilizing Agile practices to help us work more incrementally and fluidly, allowing us to respond more quickly to changing business needs. We are currently seeking an IT Systems Analyst to join our Digital Productivity team. The IT Systems Analyst will be responsible to work in a highly matrixed organization spanning domestic and international locations. The IT Systems Analyst will analyze processes and recommend improvements that use capabilities of existing or emerging manufacturing application software. The IT Systems Analyst is to be the subject matter expert for the design, development and implementation activities of manufacturing execution and information system solutions used across Eaton. This role will also plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the duties involved personally or through subordinate supervisors. In this function you will: Responsible for in-depth functional & business process knowledge of target application Work in partnership with divisional and regional business process owners on system requirements, processes, and systems. Manages requirements scope & disposition through process compliance & gap analysis, integration testing & user acceptance methodology. Provide knowledge and input on the system implications of business process changes. Help to identify consolidated, worldwide target processes. Demonstrates analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements. Applies project methodology and governance processes to the change control, system development life cycle and regression testing. Support end to end processes and has intermediate level understanding of system touch points. Works with the global governance team to ensure proposed solutions are in-line global solutions. Participate in business process improvement committees as needed. Strong communication skills - able to interact with senior level leaders at divisional or regional level. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 5 years' experience in IT Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of a Eaton U.S. facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with general manufacturing, assembly, and automation processes. Experience with machine communication protocols (RS-232, OPC-UA, etc) as well as data exchange formats such as XML. Experience with various Industry 4.0 technologies 7 years' experience in IT Completed numerous full life-cycle projects Green Belt in Six Sigma Position Criteria: Level of Risk & Ambiguity Ability to understand complex business needs and model solutions using software and process improvements, potentially leveraging multiple software modules and/or solutions. Level of Analysis & Business Acumen A strong understanding of the relevant business processes that are supported by the software Able to interact with and discuss business process requirements and changes with divisional and regional leadership teams Level of Systems and IT Knowledge Advanced level of system expertise - gathered through numerous full-life cycle projects. Advanced knowledge of applications' technical capabilities. Intermediate understanding of some of Eaton key application(s) and/or IT Infrastructure. Intermediate understanding of how the Strategy Plan pertains to their role and project(s) in the organization. Intermediate understanding of integration and impact points of involved systems globally for a division or function.
