The job:
The Implementations Specialist is an integral component which assists with coordination for our business sites that need help with the implementation / integration of AES special projects. These projects are often too big for them to handle alone due to scale, matrix interfacing, or the need to be executed on a company-wide scale. Under the auspice of Digital Implementation managers, you will observe site operations, coordinate to aid in identifying problems and propose potential cutting-edge solutions. You will assist by strategically helping projects at the sites maintain scheduled milestones and visibility up through site / AES team management. The position interfaces with application and integration of new and exciting transformational products to include new policies and procedures.
The Implementations Specialist assists with project adherence and milestone management for the implementation of AES technical systems, software, hardware, or solutions. Supports multiple site implementation projects. Assists with reviewing internal site product demands, project plans and to ensure that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meets corporate and site expectations. Self-motivation, communication skills and working in team environments are required. Travel up to 50% or as required. Virtual capability can reduce travel requirement based on scope of work.
What will you do?
- Maintain / update workflows of all applicable site implementation processes and provide input to implementation management and site technical teams.
- Provide site update data / reports and ensure progress to plan to Implementation Managers.
- Works closely with site technical teams to ensure project results are of the highest caliber
- Serves as Technical liaison on different aspects of assigned initiatives
- Assists with maintenance of project plans to timeframe and collaborates with stakeholders for all implementation processes
- Interfaces with sites on the day to day to develop a deep understanding of site needs and the path to deliver value
- Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed parameters
- Communicates project risks, ensures escalation process in place up to AES leadership and ensures mitigation plans are in place to resolve issues a timely manner
- Tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
How will you get here?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level.
- Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships / team environments, with the ability to manage projects across multiple sites
- Ability to communicate in both technical and business environments.
- Scientific industry experience and knowledge a plus.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Project, and SharePoint).
- Good planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Able to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment comfortably.
- Able to travel up to 50% both domestically and internationally, (must be able to obtain a passport). Virtual capability can reduce travel requirement based on scope of work.
