Main functions The BTS Capability Lead is responsible for key global and local technology areas to maximise business value. He/She will play an active role in the planning and alignment of global and local capabilities implementation partnering alongside the global BTS Capability teams, Commercial teams, Affiliate leadership, and other functions. The role will lead and enable adoption of the solutions in the affiliate, which implies brands and functional areas, will support digital transformation, provide consultancy to effectively use different services aligned with the strategy in a sustainable way, will drive and support innovation, and ensure excellence in the operational areas. The BTS Capability Lead will act as a subject matter expert within the Affiliate BTS team, focused on the capabilities under his/her responsibility (Data, IFT Solutions, Digital, Patient Experience). Will need to work closely with Brand Teams and Customer Excellence to bring an educated, externally-focused perspective on the trends in the industry, relevant to business priorities. The BTS Capability Lead is expected to: Be recognized as the go-to person for a given technology subject area. Providing advice and take a leading role in business technology execution and problem solving. Have input into business strategy, in areas where technology plays a significant role Generate projects based on knowledge of business strategy as well as local business landscape and goals – play a full and integrated role in the strategic and, where possible, the tactical planning process within the business Position the value and benefits of Commercial BTS global common technologies, especially in area of competence. (i.e. internal collaboration, analytics, In-Field Team excellence) Ensure that BTS Operations within the affiliate are delivered to a high-standard and in line with affiliate requirements Support Technology strategy for the Affiliate through networking within the global BTS organization, representing the needs of the business, and determining either global technology consumption, or local Technology and vendor selection. Guarantee successful implementation of global and regional initiatives, in the affiliate. Collaboration with the regional and global areas for sharing best practices and ensuring the visibility of the needs of the affiliate Establish partnerships with external organizations that contribute to leverage of the company's digital channels. Core Job Responsibilities: Technology Leadership Should be recognized as a key figure in the affiliate for all matters related directly or indirectly to their area of technology. They are expected to: Take a leadership position for related initiatives, provide guidance Create opportunities for the use of technology Understand emerging technology and digital strategies and understand how they will impact affiliate business strategies. Global and Area Internal Business Systems Will play a key role in the implementation of Global and Area internal business systems: Acting as the BTS representative for specific capabilities for the affiliate Providing affiliate input for Area/global BTS vision/strategy sessions where required. Managing, communicating or being part of the project team, for the implementation of Global and Area systems within the affiliate, as required. Maintaining a high level of knowledge around these systems, and being a point of contact for the affiliate for future developments and best practice Building a strong working relationship with Area BTS management, the global BTS Capability teams and Corporate BTS services Commercial Solutions Will play a role in the creation, delivery, and monitoring of affiliate Commercial Solutions, designed for our external stakeholders, in partnership with Brand Teams and Medical functions. Define, initiate, and oversee the delivery of technology projects at an affiliate level. Understand the local business landscape and partner with business management to develop BTS execution plans that support the key business strategies. Ensure that projects are integrated solutions, re-using existing solutions and AbbVie-standard platforms wherever possible, and fulfil their functional business requirements Maximize impact & usage of platforms/solutions (e.g. CRM, CLM, Analytics, apps, websites) by briefing teams on their value and collecting user feedback. Work with Global technical leads (Capability Towers) to recommend and implement technology and digital strategies within the affiliate brand teams. Compliance and Control Responsible for the implementation and management of BTS compliance within the affiliate. Responsible for compliance, awareness, and execution. Primary contact for internal BTS audits Ensure that relationships with external parties are managed effectively and constructively, with the appropriate contractual considerations in place for AbbVie’s benefit. Ensure all projects are compliant with local regulatory frameworks and legal requirements. Capability Specific Responsibilities for Data & Patient Solutions: Continuously benchmark and research best practices related to the capabilities. Identify opportunities and disruptive solutions for internal use and external key stakeholders. Work with agile methodologies, performing proofs of concept, defining MVPs for each solution, being able to measure, adjust and evolve. As a member of each Brand Team, design and execute an innovative multichannel digital strategy, to evolve to an omnichannel engagement considering an integrated ecosystem Deliver and adopt digital capabilities to enhance and personalize customer engagement– maximize value from Global solutions, implement complementary Local solutions if needed. Deliver and adopt digital capabilities for the IFT to drive stakeholder insights, improve customer engagement by increasing impact of each contact and capitalizing outcomes. Deliver and adopt solutions to digitalize the in field team, to increase share of voice, customer touchpoints and complement with digital engagement, the face-to-face visits. Drive use of data in digital engagement, ensuring insights are considered for personalization and business outcomes and value realization are measured. Work together with all areas (Finance, Legal, Compliance) to identify improvements and opportunities to digitize, automate and streamline processes. Be the point of contact for Global Initiatives related to Digital and IFT Solutions. Qualifications Experience & Competencies Required: Ability to work effectively and highly interactively with all levels of management Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset. Successfully managing technology projects through the full lifecycle and in Compliance. Experience in analyzing, designing, and improving business processes Management of external service providers Ability to work effectively in a shared service environment and matrix organization. Experience in Agile ways of working Excellent interpersonal relationship with multiple areas. Strong business skills: business acumen, systemic & strategic thinking, innovation. Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Strategic business partnering, ideally within pharma market The following are highly desirable areas of competency and knowledge Knowledge and experience of processes and digital landscape related to HCP engagement and In Field Team (Veeva, SFMC, mobile, UX, web design, SEO, SEM, Analytics) in pharma Knowledge of Digital Engagement / Marketing concepts: Multichannel, Data, Next Best Actions. Understand business flow of information in systems Knowledge / Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or equivalent experience, preferably in business or a closely related discipline. 7-8 years of significant IT Consultancy or IT Professional experience.
