Digital Operations Specialist
Thermofisher Scientific is seeking a Digital Operations specialist to join a team passionate about digital content and platform management including data analytics around all the digital commerce activities within the organization, which build and support our digital science company foundations.
The selected candidate is required to own the company digital platforms and continue to improve user experiences throughout content management, platform strategies and data analytics for end-to-end sales excellence.
As an expert in digital content, platform, and analytics, you will deal with large volume business data from ERP to Marketing and CRM platforms including performing data extraction, transformation, modeling, data visualization, benchmarking, and analysis from business opportunity development and process improvement as well as cooperating with other due diligence.
Responsibilities
Digital Content & Platforms Management (70%→50%)
- Owns management of corporate digital platforms and their user experiences
- Strategizes and improves product information management and publishing processes in collaboration with platform managers and content owners including product suppliers
- Works with global digital technology and regional product marketing teams to manage digital catalog product information and improve its fill-rate and searchability, in order to drive higher lead and demand generation within the company website
- Creates and manages digital promotion content pages on the company website and Linked service by working with product marketing and commercial project teams
- Manages agency budget for digital marketing service and platform development vendors to improve the company website user experiences and deploy b2b e-commerce solutions (punchout / customized product listing) for our customers’ e-procurement process support
- Provides timely and accurate project reporting and communications measurement
Digital Commerce Data Measurement & Analytics (30%→50%)
- Monitors the effectiveness of business activities over various digital platforms (ERP, Website, Magento, Eloqua, Salesforce) to support commercial teams in efforts of sales revenue increase and improve current business processes from lead to demand
- Develops methods for digital commerce effectiveness evaluation and shares learnings of business insights back with commercial and product marketing teams to lead them to review the status quo and strategize business development tactics
- Identifies areas where breakthrough data-driven solutions can be applied and utilized to drastically improve business results and creates the best practice to scale it up to the corporate-level
- Prepare POWER BI & Salesforce dashboards and facilitates monthly and quarterly digital commerce status/business impact communication within the division
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Marketing, Business Administration, Mathematics, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, macro, VBA, power pivots) skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience with hands-on Magento / Hybris / Salesforce / SAP / POWER BI / Adobe Analytics / Google Analytics or similar platform management
- Minimum 2-3 years in digital marketing/content marketing/website user experience management/data analytics position for successful deliveries of digital commerce operations and related data analytics creation over diverse digital platforms
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex digital/technical concepts to non-digital / technical audiences
- Strong project management skills
- Highly organized and ability to multi-task, handling volumes of information and working under strict timelines
- Experience in communicating authentically, concisely and convincingly in diverse organizations; ability to translate broad and complex ideas and concepts to clear and compelling communications
- A team player with a can-do attitude with the ability to work proactively and independently
- Acts with urgency, seeks new ideas, and always suggests alternatives within a business environment given and limited
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
