As a Digital Service Engineer, you will be part of the Motions Business and Motors & Generators (BL) Business Line. ABB is the World leader in Motion offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.
You will be responsible for business development, sales and project implementation of digital solutions for Drives, Motors and Generators Business Lines. Your digital service portfolio will be the ABB AbilityTM Condition Monitoring for Powertrains involving ABB’s Smart Sensor, NETA-21 and IoT Panels. Closely following industry 4.0 trends will be needed to create value proposition for end users and channel partners, enabling successful IIoT business.

Your responsibilities
- Sales Budget responsibility for ABB Ability TM Condition Monitoring for Powertrains
- Actively visit and consult customers (end user, channel) and join local marketing events and technical seminars to promote digital solutions, create business leads and collect customer feedback.
- Document and monitor business opportunities of digital solutions in Salesforce. Regularly review and follow up processes to meet business target.
- Provide technical training, service advice and on-site commissioning to customer. Registration and documentation of installed ABB equipment to anticipate lifecycle service support.
- Preparing and negotiating technical and commercial bidding documents.
- Provide regular office training to another sales team. Technical back- up for other technical sales in the country on above digital solutions
- Understanding and following trends and requirements for digitalization of industrial motion equipment. Creating value proposition and reference cases for the marketing and sales business team.
- Be sensitive to competitor updates related to digital solutions and timely feedback to supervisor
- Contribute to Digital business strategies, including Go-to-Market Model, Market Analysis and Product Launch Roadmap.
- Testing, piloting and troubleshooting latest IoT service solutions in collaboration with Global product managers

Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electric Engineering, Automation Systems, Telecommunication or Information Technology.
- Knowledge of Marketing, Business Management and Project Management as a plus.
- 1-2 years of work experience in Sales and Marketing. Demonstrated success in building customer relationship, acquiring business opportunity and implementing technical projects on-site.
- Good technical understanding on motors, generators, transformers, bearings, inverters, soft starters, PLCs.
- Profound knowledge of Data Networking and Data Security. Familiarity with Databases, C-based, HTML and Java Script programming as a plus.
- Expertise in Windows and good user experience with Android and iOS Smart Devices.
- Interest for data Analytics, cyber security, connectivity, cloud-based software and IoT.
- Passionate about following the latest information, e.g. technology trends, market and competitor updates.
- Fluent in written and oral English and Chinese. Good Taiwanese language skills. Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical and organized mind-set with reliable and self-responsible working behavior
- Energetic and high learning ability with good collaboration skills
- Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
