Eaton’s Fuel and Motion Control division within our Aerospace sector is currently seeking a Digital Solutions Project Engineer to join our team. This position is based at one of the following facilities: Los Angeles, CA, Irvine, CA, Beltsville, MD, Jackson, MI, Fort Worth, TX, Charleston, SC or Grand Rapids, MI. Position Overview: The Digital Solutions Project Engineer will work across our Aerospace business to incorporate software applications that empower our customers to maximize efficiency and reduce capital expenditures with real-time data, historical insights, and predictive analytics. This role will communicate and collaborate with business, digital and technology teams to primarily develop predictive maintenance algorithms for existing and newly developed electrification products in the aftermarket segment. In this function you will: Support the creation of the digitalization strategy within the Advanced Technology and Innovation group (ATIG) by establishing technology roadmaps aligned with our product roadmaps. Manage program execution by leading project teams of 2-5 designers, developers, testers collaborating to create products for internal and external users, from the idea phase through launch and beyond. Effectively manage program risk and maintain metrics for program for financials, quality, technical performance, and delivery through all of the PROLaunch phases. Oversee the market opportunities for digitalization by identifying and establishing relationships with potential customers, institutions, and academia in order to accelerate/support the internal efforts on maturing technologies related to digitalization. Support innovation events, engaging with engineering, product line management and sales teams to generate intellectual property with significant business impact. Present and promote results to internal stakeholders, in particular Aerospace Group Executives and the Eaton Digital Office. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a design / development role. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a project / product manager. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred qualifications: 2+ years of experience with continuous integration, continuous development and continuous deployment concepts and tools 2+ years of experience with embedded platforms, preferably within aerospace or automotive sectors 2+ years of experience as a designer or project/product manager in a technology-focused market, preferably software in aerospace or automotive sector The expected annual salary range for this role is $133,688 - $196,075.
