Abbott Ireland Financial Services Cherrywood Dublin

Abbott’s EMEA Finance Shared Services centre commenced operations in Cherrywood, Dublin in October 2015. From this location the Finance Shared Services provides processing and expertise, in local languages, to Abbott divisions and affiliate companies across EMEA. The core services are in Record to Report, Order to Cash, Source to Pay and Master data management. The Financial Shared Services hub is part of Corporate Finance and has regional counterparts in the US and in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Technical background and knowledge of microservices architecture

• Must have strong technical understanding of modern development environments including microservices, Adobe experience manager, APIs

• Work independently with business to understand and translate the functional and non-functional requirements into strategic solutions using different analytical techniques.

• Serve as subject matter expert to consult and advise on how applications may be impacted by enterprise- wide initiatives, like an acquisition or major change in products/services provided to customers.

• Should be able to come up with end to end visual process flow depiction of the functional requirements.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills to identify effective solutions for given problem statement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.

• Work independently with stakeholders to capture scope of work in defined format using different analytical techniques.

• Work closely with Agile software development teams to ensure implementation of vision. Observe and Identify all current and potential failures and inefficiencies to be flushed out.

• Work with internal development team and stakeholders to design effective programming and software changes to deliver defined vision.

• Access performance of given business solutions by conducting regular tests, information assessments and monitoring reports / logs.

• Proficiency in modern script and coding languages.

• Ability to draft, derive and deliver product road maps and vision.

• Showcase ability to use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights.

• Designing and implementing internal processes and controls by setting-up, configuring and maintaining system configuration and parameters across modules.

Qualifications

• Over 6 years of professional business system analyst experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or relevant work experience
