职位描述

Responsibilities

• Create 3D concept and/or A-Class surface data from 2D sketch and verbal inputs from designers utilizing Alias/ICEM
• Create 3D polygon concept models from sketch and verbal direction from designers utilizing Maya and/or Speedform
• Develop technically feasible digital surfaces aligned with program milestone requirements that delivers design intent
• Support digital surface reviews utilizing Alias/VRED
• Work collaboratively with team

engineering, design, modelling and fabrication.

• Recognize design and feasibility challenges and proactively communicate concerns and ideas to appropriate partiesCriteria
• Qualifications Required: Degree in Industrial/Automotive Design or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years experience utilizing at least one of the following: Alias/ICEM
• Proven ability to develop 3D surface models utilizing Alias/ICEM
• Proven ability to develop polygon concept models utilizing Maya/Speedform
• Demonstrate a working knowledge and application of engineering and manufacturing feasibility criteria relative to the design of automotive exterior and interior systems
• Strong knowledge of visualization tools such as VRED
• Ability to learn new 3D software packages.
• A basic knowledge of Catia V5
• Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Power Point, Excel and Word).Functional / Technical (TMM)
• Design interpretation and resolution of lines, surfaces and scans
• Basic knowledge of vehicle architecture / scaffold file interpretation
• Understanding design change process within GPDS timeframe
• Working knowledge and application of:
• Manufacturing processes
• Material capability & properties
• Supplier capability
• Timing
• Customer Expectation
• Competitive products
