Digital Transformation Manager- MEA
Based in Cairo – Egypt
Job Description:
Amgen Middle East Africa is looking for an experienced Digital Customer Experience (Transformation) Professional to drive our multichannel customer engagement activities in MEA. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to lead end to end digital health projects (design, development, execution & analysis of integrated multichannel campaigns) across multiple therapy areas including Cardiology, Oncology, Hematology and Inflammation in MEA countries.

Your role overview:
Candidate will support various business functions by articulating innovative digital health tools that deliver value to patients and healthcare professionals in Amgen therapeutic areas. You will need to orchestrate internal and external processes from the content generation up to the metrics and KPI management.
You will lead the design, development, execution & analysis of integrated multichannel customer engagement in partnership with all brands and business units in our MEA countries, including the definition of concepts, business models and the building of cross-functional delivery teams to address clinical value propositions
You’ll manage the deployment of enabling technologies (e.g. marketing automation, CRM) and business processes (e.g. campaign planning)
Finally, you’ll drive the upskilling of our cross functional product teams and change management that is required to enable effective multichannel customer communications in a compliant and strategic manner. The role will be based in Cairo and travel is expected
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for MEA Digital Strategy Development and dissemination
- Alignment with MEA Leadership team and country managers on their strategic priorities
- Disseminate MEA DT strategy to LT team and country managers by leading DT workshops
- Responsible for regional lead tactical plan, Implementation and Follow up
- Guide and Support any MEA country in enrolling in any of MEA led Projects
- Support project owners in initiating any affiliate-based project
- Share best practice between affiliates
- Ensure a cross functional alignment with all MEA Leadership team as well as countries
- Alignment with WEMEA region on digital transformation plan for MEA as well as localize the strategically fitting project
- Understand legal & regulatory compliance landscape as it applies to online communications. Comply with those regulations on launched initiatives and data development post launch.
- Lead development & execution of digital health tools and multichannel campaigns, ensuring activities are aligned to product objectives and strategies.
- Work directly with country and regional teams to ensure optimal use of online channels to reach and engage customers; proactively makes recommendations on how to improve performance through analytics, insights and research.
- Attend strategic cross-functional meetings to drive the “digital transformation” of commercial processes.
- First point of contact for digital delivery between product teams, regional functions, IS, creative agencies, technology vendors & Amgen Service Centre from initial project brief through to implementation.
- Lead Multichannel Initiatives including E-mail Campaigns, Mobile Apps, Websites and Website Lifecycle management (inception, maintenance, decommission, metrics, SEO, SEM)
- Lead digital channel reporting; create & distribute customer analytics dashboards summarizing customer acquisition, conversion & engagement metrics.
Qualifications and required experience:
- Professional experience (at least 3-5 years) in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry or related experience (preferably in positions related to Digital transformation)
- Experience with all aspects of Digital Health activities, and other medical affairs activities (Patient support programs) and healthcare professional (HCP) and patient/ patient groups interactions strongly preferred
- Experience as a successful decisive leader in a cross-functional environment adept at managing complex programmes without direct reports
- Candidate would have good balance between understanding healthcare, disease areas and product dynamics on one side and IT requirements on the other side.
Proven experience and skills needed:
- Design, planning & delivery of multichannel and / or digital marketing campaigns
- Email marketing campaigns including campaign management system(s)
- Analytic Mindset, Data Oriented, experience with Data visualization technologies such as SQL, Tableau highly preferred
- Modern web/digital design & UX principles
- Project management (knowledge of Agile / Lean / Scrum is a plus)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to set the context and present on complex subjects to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
