AstraZeneca UK is responsible for the marketing of our medicines in the UK. Here you’ll also find colleagues from AstraZeneca’s corporate functions and our European and International regions’ sales and marketing teams. We're now looking to recruit a Digital Transformation Supply Manager who will be accountable for the delivery of the digital transformation for Supply Chain, seeking to transform and be at the forefront of utilising digital technology to enhance and optimise operations.

With previous digital experience and a solid understanding of data, we’ll be looking for you to create and accelerate innovative solutions to BAU operations, generating efficiencies to focus on value add activities.

What you'll do

To deliver on the strategic direction of the business, accelerating innovation, focussing on digital, data and analytics.

Shape the strategy and roadmap for Supply transformation, scanning the horizon for exciting technology and creating a cultural mindset shift towards more digital ways of working.

Delivery of proactive change, providing valuable insights through the use of data analytics and reporting, identifying the best methods of contact and engagement

Use a data driven approach to build internal measurements for AstraZeneca UK to maximise potential from its relationships.

Applying digital thinking, you will support the innovation and improvement of digital systems with a focus on automation and AI.

Where appropriate, you will implement robotics / AI solutions, partnering with internal and external partners to deliver the technology to improve efficiencies

Actively partner with the supply chain team to deliver the best value and service from all supply chain contracts and associated relationships;

Where appropriate, challenge others to embrace outstanding innovative solutions to improve the service to ourselves and our customers

Lead on the evolution of our Distribution models, aligned to our changing organisation, portfolio needs, regulatory and commercial requirements.

Lead business case presentations to ensure leadership are fully informed on decisions to improve delivery through new investments

Keep up-to-date on competitor and industry wide activity and educate back into the business

Support a team environment that delivers innovation, challenges the status quo and provides clear role accountability

Essential Skills:

  • Broad understanding of digital platforms

  • Innovative mindset with the ability to communicate, engage and influence others

  • Experience of Project Management

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong organisational development skills

  • Commercial acumen

Desirable Skills:

  • FMCG experience would be advantageous

  • Supply chain experience

  • Exposure to logistics tools

  • Experience of introducing robotics and AI for process improvement

Please Note: It has been agreed that the AstraZeneca UK head office will move from Luton to Pancras Square, London in early 2022. This role will be initially based in our Luton office, until this move takes place.

The move will bring the AstraZeneca UK closer to customers, partners and stakeholders in the UK’s healthcare environment, as well as foster greater collaboration with the wider AZUK footprint.
