Digital UX/UI Designer

Job Description
Position Description:
• Review and audit current UI/UX to identify gaps and recommend solutions for
improvements.
• Define and create UX concepts for DSS’ web and app products, based on an
understanding of the business requirements and end-user needs through user
research
• Work with Product Managers and Development Manager to develop a clear
strategy from user insights, and produce user personas, journey-maps, user
flows, information architecture, prototypes, and wireframes
• Validate the team’s understanding about end-user and stakeholders needs
through usability testing
• Articulate research findings and design vision effectively, both verbally
and visually
• Define style guide and a consistent design language for user facing
interfaces, including collaterals required for branding and Go-To-Market
activities
• Follow and identify key industry and technology trends
• Respond positively shifting priorities, demands, and timeline
• Participate as a lead contributor to a cross-functional team that includes
other designers, Product Managers, Development Managers, Business Analysts,
Technical Architects, and Developers
Position Requirements:
• Degree or work experience equivalent in User Experience, Information Science
or Digital Design
• 5+ years of extensive experience in applying User Centered Design for web
AND mobile applications, be it in consumer or enterprise space
• Experience in collaborating with clients/users/stakeholders to understand
business objectives and market needs, to ideate new features, and able to
persuasively present user insights, design goals & vision to development team
• Practical experience in using industry standard software, tools, and
methodologies, e.g. Sketch, InVision, Proto.io, Axure, and/or Adobe Creative
Suite
• Experience in conceptual development and rapid prototyping
• Experience in identifying design gaps and opportunities to include user
engagement and retention for web and mobile applications
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Knowledge in web and app technologies, and understand the impacts of front-
end technologies to the feasibility of design
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Comfortable in reviewing data to obtain insights for design improvement, as
well as in giving and receiving feedback
• Skilled at handling multiple projects, and committed to meet timelines
• Proficient in spoken & written English; bi-lingual abilities, especially in
Mandarin, is a huge plus
