KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Plan and review of traditional and offline activities and expenses:

a. Keep good track on the Market Development focus and marketing plan;

b. Plan and execute offline activities, according to the needs identified from communication with MDM, Sales, FAS, SVC, and other organizations;

c. Update the offline activities expenses and make events forecast regularly;


2. Trade shows/events:

a. Manage and coordinate all logistics for trade shows and events. From booth space selection to show services: labor, freight, conduct onsite supervision of set up and dismantle at larger shows, distribute pre-show packages to all staff, and hold preshow meetings where appropriate; Staff company booth or exhibit at trade shows and community fairs;

b. Act as project manager with all MDMs and RSM/DSMs for featured products, and sponsorship events at each meeting;

c. Produce all associated promotional materials surrounding wows, i.e., pre-show mailers, where appropriate;

d. Create event reports targeting to sales and MD / MI team, including competition data collection, customer leads collection, etc;

3. Branding:

a. Follow the Branding strategy into execution, in event, publication, giveaways, etc.

b. Enhance brand awareness in potential and current customer groups via all channels. This includes close cooperation with e-marketing channel.

4. Common services:

a. Centrally manage refill, order, storage and distribution of customer brochures and giveaways for exhibition and daily sales visit. Discuss with sales and MD to make impressive and decent quality items within cost budget;

b. Centrally manage all application process for marketing activities, such as events attending, customers trip, speaker fee, group dinner, etc.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:


o A bachelor's degree or equivalent in biology, chemistry, communication, marketing, journalism, advertising, or a related field with relevant experience in scientific or technical communications


o Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Chinese and English


o Experience in development and management of events, conference, displays, workshops and exhibitions


o Demonstrated ability to organise own work, to work efficiently, productively and independently, detail oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks.


o Demonstrated ability to work on a range of tasks as part of ongoing projects, and to make sound decisions in order to meet deadlines for the completion of projects or activities


o Interpersonal skills suitable for a people-oriented job, requiring interactions with many people both inside and outside the organisation


o Organisational skills relevant to subcontracting work to outside organisations and consultants and working in teams


o Be creative, enthusiastic, driving with team-building skills


o Able to travel frequently with overnight travel around 25%
