The Position

Reporting into the COO Europe Luxury brands , the General Manager oversees the day to day operations of the hotel in accordance with company standards, mission statement, vision and values. The maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction and Brand colleagues development is an integral part of the position. Furthermore it is essential to assist the COO Europe Luxury brands  in the development and communication of strategies, goals and objectives as well as the development, implementation and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotels while, managing, growing and fostering positive owner relations and maximizing performance.

 

Areas of Responsibility

Operations

Employee engagement

  • Directly supervise the Executive Committee members and indirectly supervise all hotel personnel
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and training programs
  • Act as an integer role model, displaying explicit knowledge and awareness of company standards

  • Effectively position le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris from a pricing and distribution perspective
  • Deeply understand the competitive set and the luxury customer in order to develop winning strategies
  • Stay connected with local and international customers to keep a pulse on trends

Qualifications

  • Prior 10+ years experience in luxury hotel management essential
  • Strong match with Accor Inspiring Leader capability framework
  • Strong Educational background
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Local market experience essential
  • Understanding/experience of union relations
  • Experience in carrying out significant capital projects in complex environments
  • Skilled in managing owner/management company relationships
  • Must be strategic, creative and able to clearly communicate how plans will deliver on overall goals
  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Adaptable & flexible with the capacity to set high goals and standards for the smooth operation of the hotel
