Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Director, Business Development to be based in Shenzhen office.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving the KPI sales target annually with support from the organization’s Solutions, teams and project approvers. As part of PRC BD team to take primary responsibility all the way up to take care of South China BD performance.

  • Deploying soft skills to develop relationships in greater bay Area with prospective clients, partners and deepen relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business.

  • Ability to analysis market trends. Define business priorities through a broad and far vision of market and technology needs, to support PRC BD initiate and manage BD activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration in China.

  • Lead the communication between teams and client from different business lines regarding pursuit follow up, team up especially those relating to the collaborative selling including work scope, fee negotiations, approval process, proposal submittal, contract terms negotiations, taking care of the smooth and manage the deadline.

  • Assess and ensure good team spirit, and align with different teams in South China offices to ensure the use of proper communication channels, define priorities, and maintain focus.

  • Manage communication with teams, peers, organizational leaders, partners, and client regarding progress and compliance issues, and manage different expectations. Ensure the balance upon the company policy.

  • Fosters collaboration among Business Development teams and facilitates work-load sharing, where possible.

  • Monitor and track all responses to marketing activities.

  • Ensure high quality of proposal submittals.

  • Able to deploy a range of different leadership styles, i.e. coaching, pace-setting, authoritative, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree holders in Business/Engineering or related disciplines

  • Minimum 15 years relevant working experience. Industry experience (engineering / architecture / landscape) is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proactive, meticulous, self-motivated and hands-on team-player with the ability to multitask.

  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in the English and Chinese languages (both written and spoken).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential; ability to communicate well with clients and senior management.
