Job Description

Intel Client SoC Architecture (CSA) is seeking a Senior Director for Client Power Management Firmware (PM FW ) organization for their current and next generation Client Product families. Our organization's charter is to deliver best in class Architecture and Firmware for Intel Client SOCs.

This position heads the US Firmware Development and Validation organization of over 30 people and delivers validated FW to SOC design, post-silicon and platform simulation teams. The Firmware leader will be responsible for implementation and standalone validation of power management firmware for a wide range of strategically relevant client product families and customers. PM FW responsibility and influence extends from Product definition to post-product launch - defining and building the micro-architecture and infrastructure incorporating the product and platform needs, supporting FW drops, integration and debug to multiple internal customers and providing extensive post silicon debug and PnP optimization for PRQ and beyond.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Execution and delivery to the client roadmap; ensuring a high quality and timely delivery of Firmware using Agile development methodology;

  • Strategic vision and direction for modular, abstract Firmware development, including algorithms for product PnP leadership,

  • Validation strategies and relentless focus on quality

  • Driving a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) framework with schedule improvement innovations

  • Developing the technical and management leadership of the org and building a strong org for the long haul.

  • Supporting and collaborating with partner teams and customers in meeting their needs.

  • Forward-looking Transformation towards technologies and methodologies for scalability and productivity.


Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with strong technical background and 15+ years of relevant experience, OR

Master's Degree in computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with strong technical background and with 12+ years of relevant experience.

Your experience should be in the following:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware OR BIOS using C/C++;

  • experience building and managing teams and delivering IPs or products.

  • Should have excellent written, verbal communication skills; organization, collaboration, presentation and influencing abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in computer architecture especially Power Management Architecture with understanding of Intel SOC architecture.

  • Experience with end-to-end SOC product development and Validation

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
