In this vital role you will responsible for the management of clinical development platforms, exploring new technical capabilities, and acquiring digital assets and systems from expansion activities (e.g. acquisitions or other business development activities).

• Provide technical expertise of key computer systems (e.g. RAVE, RSG, WCG, SIP, etc) to optimize performance, grow automation, and ensure quality and regulation (ER/ES) compliance.
• Ensure all systems are in a state of readiness to meet protocol and program demands
• Set vision, strategic direction, and annual goals while progressively tracking results against expectations
• Lead decision-making process on technology and service selections
• Set priorities to meet global development operations success as a Leader and an active member of the BDSS Leadership Team and
• Primary focus on the mentoring and coaching staff to build the best talent and team Aa a people leader

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 4 years clinical development technologies or information sciences or data informatics experience

Or

Master’s degree and 8 years of clinical development technologies or information sciences or data informatics experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of clinical development technologies or information sciences or data informatics experience AND 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Or

12+ years of clinical development technologies or information sciences or data informatics experience AND4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in life science, computer science, business administration or related field

• Extensive work experience in life sciences, medical information systems

• Broad biopharmaceutical clinical research experience (clinical research experience obtained working on clinical trials at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)

• Previous line management experience, including management level staff and deep experience working with technology providers.

• Distinguished expert in clinical development technologies including EDC, CTMS, IRT, TMF, and data analytics

• Seasoned expertise designing and deploying integrations including those using web services.

• Extensive experience in technologies within the Pharmaceutical or Biotech arena

• Broad experience of working in a global organization

• Previous experience at or oversight of outside clinical research vendors (CRO’s, central labs, imaging vendors, etc)
