Eaton is seeking a Director, Commercial Data & Digital Enablement to join our team! This hybrid role is located in Moon Township, PA. Relocation assistance is available. Position Overview: The Director, Commercial Data & Digital Enablement, is responsible for strategy and overall coordination of Eaton’s commercial Master Data Management (MDM) program, with the objective of building a data-driven company culture that develops world-class quality data and delivers that data to Eaton's ERPs, front-end applications (Eaton.com, Order center, etc.) and Eaton's channel partners. This position will be responsible for business-wide data activities and acts as the main champion for data ownership, standardization, accessibility and governance. The Director, Commercial Data & Digital Enablement is tasked with creating an environment that makes data and information accessible to all departments and personnel across the business as appropriate. The Director, Commercial Data & Digital Enablement will deploy data management capabilities and implement best-in-class technologies for the organization. This position will promote the use of industry leading trends and new data management technologies to accelerate data attribution, Product Data Hub (PDH) deployment, Customer MDM deployment and data quality programs across the business. Additionally, the Director, Commercial Data & Digital Enablement will regulate how the business captures, maintains, governs and presents data and information on a global level in order to measure data quality and performance. This position will be responsible for developing and deploying a seamless data syndication program throughout Eaton's Electrical Sector. The program will support all external data standards, such as IDW (UNSPSC), ETIM, eCl@ss and retail standards, as well as lay the foundation for direct syndication of product data to Eaton’s strategic channel partners and customers. With the increasing demand for product information from our customers, channel partners and what is required for internal applications, Eaton must be able to be transparent with regard to its data quality, data management practices and policies. In this role the Director, Commercial Data & Digital Enablement will manage the complete lifecycle of product data in order to comply with the requirements of Eaton's businesses, provide expertise and consult on all major data-related initiatives inclusive of personnel recruiting, development and retention within the business. The Director, Commercial Data & Digital Enablement must possess strong leadership skills, be able to move cross-functional groups in a unified direction, as well as being able to present strategy to business executives and other stakeholders. Essential Responsibilities: Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization, with an emphasis on data management best practices and optimization strategies Develop, deploy, measure and refine the data quality program for Eaton Builds and manages strategy and infrastructure for data syndication to internal systems, industry data warehouses and direct to channel partners Builds custom reporting to showcase the value to executive management of data governance/stewardship, including monthly analyses and key performance scorecards measured against organizational objectives and industry benchmarks Responsible for coordinating major RFPs, working with enterprise teams for alignment, and managing global MSAs with data management suppliers Responsible for the global translation management process, vendor relations and cost-out reporting Sits on external data standards organizations to help influence global standards to align with Eaton’s objectives Works closely with IT on the development and enhancement of the product information management system Implementation and oversight of Eaton’s data management goals, policies, standards, practices, process and technologies Manages multiple teams and drives standardized processes across the regions in the support and management of the MDM program (today ~ 20+ resources) Works closely with other major Eaton applications such as Eaton.com, Order Center, ERPs, configurators to support standard enterprise integrations as well as deliver data requirements Owns day-to-day support for all businesses globally for PDH and integrated applications as related to MDM Constantly evolves Eaton’s data model to support both current and future data standards. Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum 10 years marketing and/or IT experience Minimum B.S. or B.A. degree in marketing, IT, business or related fields Minimum 5 years previous experience managing direct reports Position Criteria: Leadership experience in matrix organization preferred Creative approach to problem solving Proven track record in creative project planning, business case development, project management, and working under deadline Initiative, organizational skills, and proven leadership Superior written communications skills and messaging Must be highly analytical, critical thinker and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity Knowledge of various systems and processes [product management, manufacturing, marketing and engineering] Expertise in MS-Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Clear understanding of data models, data architecture and system integration.
