Job Description

Intel's Global Government Affairs division carries out the advocacy and lobbying efforts in every market where Intel does business. The organization is responsible for positioning Intel's business as critical infrastructure and leadership as key partners with influential government audiences. Our core priorities include public policy, growing our business and thought leadership.

As the Government Affairs Director for Communications Strategy and External Engagements, you will join a dynamic team and be able to immediately and directly enhance Intel's overall political engagement. This position will play a critical and highly visible role for our team by developing and implementing strategic communications and public affairs programs that demonstrate Intel's commitment to its mission and promotes the organization's reputation to national and international leaders.

You understand how public policy issues, politics, and corporate reputation can drive growth for a business and craft how the technology industry is viewed by society. Ideally, you'll have experience running policy communications campaigns at a technology company, a trade association, or within government. You'll possess a learning-mindset and excel at digging into public policy and government affairs issues in areas such as government engagement, digital infrastructure, manufacturing and sustainability, security and trust, and public sector technology. Important to this role is being proactive and adept at working across different geographies and stakeholder groups, while also possessing a respected executive presence and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive proactive external outreach strategies and implementation plans.

  • Lead Intel's 3rd party outreach and ongoing response to major public policy issues that impact our people, business, or communities.

  • Build original and compelling content for internal and external partners that drives awareness in areas such as government engagement, digital infrastructure, manufacturing and sustainability, security and trust, and public sector technology.

  • Engage communications and business leaders across multiple subject areas to build coordinated communication strategies and plans for Intel's Government Affairs.

  • Ensure brand and reputation implications are understood by project teams; strong ability to work and manage effectively with a variety of personnel across a global, matrix environment.

  • Effectively communicate plans, with ability to translate complex policies to match audience awareness and needs such that key partners and stakeholders understand and prioritize around the company-wide strategic direction.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following:

  • Experience working with government and 3rd party leaders.

  • Ability to engage across a diverse and global stakeholder group with executive presence.

  • Content creation for external audiences.

  • Deep understanding of political topics related to the tech industry.

  • Experience acting as liaison with media/PR outlets.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, government affairs or related field with a minimum of 10-years work experience or a Master's degree with 7-years work experience.

  • Experience should be within government affairs or technology industry environment.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$146,140.00-$255,950.00
