What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead the financial aspects of Amgen's digital innovation and certain international collaboration efforts, in addition to other key projects. The position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely planning and reporting for digital and collaboration activities. Additionally, the Director will conduct insightful analysis to make informed decisions and cross-functional trade-offs. The role is also responsible for other transformation initiatives. Further, the individual will be responsible to ensure certain SOX and non-Sox processes are in control and running effectively. This role will manage a staff member and will be required to advise and collaborate with many staff members to meet schedules or resolve operational problems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Consolidate actual spend on digital projects in R&D, GCO, Ops and G&A
- Partner with digital leadership to define financial metrics to track progress of projects
- Provide guidance to digital destinations and enablers for business cases, NPV modeling, capital/deferred expense approval process
- Ensure connectivity between partnership activities, including Alliance Management, Accounting, Functional FP&A, R&D, Operations and Commercial
- Support financial analyses, reporting, budgeting & forecasting, and decision making
- Serve as the single point of contact for all Finance aspects related to the Amgen-BeiGene Collaboration

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of financial planning and analysis experience
Or
Master’s degree and 8 years of financial planning and analysis experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of financial planning and analysis experience
And
4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ Years of financial planning and analysis experience in complex environments
- Ability to collaborate and leverage relationships in matrixed and direct reporting business relationships
- Experience with international partnerships and/or revenue sharing collaborations
