Job Description

Management

• Develop and guide the Customs product and vision within the region
• Provide Customs product support for regional, country, district, product, sales and account managers
• Provide Customs product support to local management
• Provide Customs product support for ongoing development of Customs personnel
• Represent Expeditors with Customs authorities within the North Asia Region
• Drive consistent growth for Expeditors' regional customs product
• Work with regional and CHQ IS to develop Expeditors' and local Customs and compliance systems in each country
• Set and execute on goals for the regional Customs product in alignment with GEO and CHQ leadership

Operations/Product Knowledge

• Provide tools and support to the field for Customs activities in North Asia
• Support Customs and GBO operational procedures and standards in North Asia
• Monthly declaration reviews and oversight to achieve optimal compliance in North Asia
• Provide Customs product and compliance training and development

Compliance and Finance

• Provide on-going monitoring and review of the Customs compliance program in North Asia
• Support profitability, P&L clarity and proper GL use in North Asia
• Review regional Customs product budgets and planning
• Support the goal of providing Customs brokerage product in North Asia under our own license with our own staff as to limit Expeditors' risk
• Support the Third Party Broker Management program aligned with CHQ expectations

Sales/Marketing

• Provide regional sales direction, support and leadership for the Customs product
• Support growth and development of regional market share and profitability for the Customs product
• Provide regional pricing direction for the Customs product

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years' industry experience
• Ability to communicate well with clients, Customs and other government officials, suppliers and employees at all levels
• Strong critical thinker
• Computer and Analytical skills
• Hands-on user proficiency with Expeditors' import and export applications and tools
• Ability to articulate clearly through written and oral presentation
• English language skills
