The director of enterprise data governance acceleration program will be part of the Intel Data and Analytics organization. This organization has a significant cross-Intel impact and focuses on providing a data advantage to Intel from data strategy and governance to execution and improving business outcomes.
This position needs strong data governance capabilities and program management experience and needs to be recognized as a trustworthy advisor in their domain expertise and responsibility by senior executive technologists and principal engineers across multiple organizations, top group management level, and respected by peers in both business and IT.
The position has a strong player– captain – coach role i.e., significant individual contribution scope, as well as requires direct and indirect management and oversight guidance to high performing enterprise data governance product teams.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
- Own, drive, and be responsible for leading the enterprise data governance program acceleration charter and its effective execution aligned to the multi-year roadmap.
- Orchestrate and manage the monthly executive data governance steering committee meetings comprised of accountable data sponsors from business and IT (VP/GMs), as well as the monthly data governance council meetings comprised of responsible business data stewards and IT data custodians (Data technology enabling teams).
- Collaborate with cross-Intel stakeholders on data topics and issues around highly shared connected data assets, data governance gaps, stewardship and custodianship
- Perform issue and risk validation for appropriate prioritization and escalation paths and timely decision-making process by effectively leveraging local or enterprise data council and/or executive steering committee operating structure.
- Build and manage a fully integrated program plan that includes all data governance technology capabilities such as metadata, data catalog and search, data quality, master data, data literacy, data architecture, data access and privacy, and Data and Analytics platforms (as relevant).
- Provide thought leadership and bring industry leading best-in-class data governance and data democratization ideas for planning and execution.
- Facilitate effective change management and communication.
- Engage with business process architects, data domain stewards, IT solution architects, and data architects to perform thorough data health baseline assessment across 24 enterprise data subject areas in scope to execute on multi-year enterprise data governance journey.
- Communicate technical solutions to business partners in a meaningful way.
- Conduct comprehensive cost/benefit, fit gap, and pro/con analysis.
- Follow, role-model, and mentor mature software development lifecycle associated with agile methodology – such as requirements gathering and assessment, backlog management and prioritization, software build, validation, test, path to production, quality, and support on all relevant data governance technology enabling capabilities.
- Mentor, coach, and guide the data culture and engage/support/exchange ideas with other data governance colleagues across Intel to help advance the collective knowledge and data toolset adoption at Intel.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics or MBA/Master's degree in Business Analytics, Organizational Management, or any other related field.
- Proven 10+ years of experience in large scale program management with focus in data and business transformation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Program management tools (Smartsheet).
- Atlassian tools (Jira, Trello, or Confluence).
- Power BI, Tableau, or similar for executive dashboards and reports.
- Agile product management and working with scrum teams.
- Engaging with technical and non-technical audiences to understand their priorities and related data skill needs.
- Establishing a data fluent organization through data governance capabilities.
- Working with all levels of employees from entry-level to senior leadership.
- Big 4 consulting firms or hi-tech company.
Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$149,430.00-$261,690.00

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
