THE ROLE: We’re looking for a Director, Global Commercial Investments to mature ADL’s financial operations as the team continues to scale in the US and international markets. This role will be responsible for driving diligent budgeting processes, disciplined management of over $600M+ in annual spend, and rigorous tracking of financial performance. This individual will also have significant responsibilities specific to scaling ADL in international markets. The role is highly cross-functional and requires collaboration across a range of teams, both US and international. The ideal candidate will be interested in working in a high energy, data-driven, and collaborative environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role encompasses responsibilities that are both Global in nature, as well as those specific to International markets. Global Facilitate budgeting and capital allocation processes across ADL teams - manage and shepard investment discussions for all ADL spend, coordinating $600M+ in annual budgets Oversee ADL’s financial performance - actively manage not only spend, but revenue contribution. Proactively identify risks or variances - escalate and propose solutions Institute processes that increase transparency to both Commercial and Finance stakeholders on ADL spend and financial performance Ensure alignment between Commercial and Finance organizations on methodologies for measuring financial performance of commercial investments Drive ADL’s participation in Financial planning processes in both the US and International, including Financial LRPs; secure budgets needed for ADL to deliver its financial targets Be an activist investor from within the company - relentlessly hunt for opportunities to unlock value for Allergan Aesthetics and AbbVie International Prepare business cases to support ongoing expansion of ADL activities in international markets Develop and implement tracking plans to ensure capital investments are deployed on time and within budget Support management of ADL marketing budgets in ex-US markets Partner with colleagues in Market Analytics to measure performance of ADL marketing efforts; socialize methodologies and results to colleagues across ADL, International Strategic Marketing, in-country affiliates, and Finance Interface with Finance colleagues across international markets as the lead point of contact for ADL on topics related to capital allocation, budget management, and financial performance tracking Qualifications YOU BRING: 15+ years of experience in Finance, with increasing responsibility Rigor to everything to you touch, relentless detail-orientation, commitment to getting it done right Combination of strong financial acumen and strategic judgment High degree of intellectual curiosity, passion for problem solving, and desire to always continue learning Deep understanding of the medical aesthetics industry and commercial dynamics Willingness to travel internationally OUR CORE VALUES: Be Humble: You’re smart yet always interested in learning from others.
