About our client:
Our client is a multinational electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company providing design, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a group of commodity management. Responsible for BTP Commodities such as Power and Thermal components and purchasing responsibility and services.
- Maintains region responsibility for developing procurement policies and successful implementation of procedures to ensure a strategic purchasing function. Leads negotiations for commodities managed by the team.
- Establishes corporate targets and provides direction to managers in the areas of global pricing, terms and conditions, supplier programs, and monitoring of supplier performance.
- Has regular interaction and participates in negotiations with senior executives of industry leading multinational companies. Develops strong relationships with key suppliers' senior management.
- Provides targets and direction in worldwide product sources process.
- Provides direction in the development and execution of procurement strategies for the group of components or services including competitive benchmarking, technology direction, supplier analysis, supplier development and selection and pricing strategies for BTP commodities such as Power and Thermal components or services.
- Manages the implementation of strategic SCM initiatives. Maintains materials cost responsibility.
Requirements:
- Minimum fourteen years in Related Field or Industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering or Economics (MBA Preferred) or combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of Build To Print commodities such as Power & Thermal and industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends.
- Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills. Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Ability to interface with many international sites to establish strong working relationships and cooperation to achieve objectives
- Significant skills required with regard to multi-tasking and time management
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of managers and employees
- Travel requirements: up to 20%
