Job Description

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Global Forecasting, are to: 

 

 

  • Act as a business advisor to Therapeutic Area (TA) Head, Strategic Marketing Leadership team to ensure a robust epi-based fifteen (15) year forecast architecture is established for VITRAKVI & the TKI Brands (Stivarga & Nexavar)
  • Lead the production and interpretation of data and models for global brand team forecasts and standard reports (e.g. weekly Key Performance
  • Indicator (KPI) dashboard) using analytic tools to drive assumption-based forecasting and trend-based analytics;
  • Ensure strong alignment on forecast assumptions with Oncology
    Specialty Business Unit (OSBU) leadership, Therapeutic Area Leadership Team (TALT), global brand teams, Finance, Market Access and major regions/ markets;
  • Create analytical models and data visualization for long term forecasts and multiple business scenarios using i2E interactive forecasting platform with Mont Carlo simulations;
  • Prepare and present forecast updates to address specific questions (e.g. Deep Dives or new indications) gap and opportunity analysis;
  • Provide timely, accurate data to support informed decision making;
  • Provide business analyses and summaries of results;
  • Interpret and communicate results and recommendations to brand/business stakeholders;
  • Explain effectively insights driving key assumptions in forecast and
    data caveats to global business stakeholders;
  • Direct the development of custom market definitions for key therapeutic areas in Oncology;
  • Provide quality control oversight of key data sources;
  • Ensure effective legal and regulatory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are understood and adhered to by vendors;
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and content expertise in advanced analytics to business partners and must win/top 10 markets, including the development of key training programs.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field combined with MBA degree from globally leading school OR Post-graduate degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in quantitative field (Statistics, Management Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Finance, etc.);
  • At least six years of commercial healthcare analytics work experience, of which include at least three years of recent experience in pharmaceutical industry or health care consulting;
  • At last three years of experience incorporating several of the following, forecasting, modeling, statistics, promotional response or price modeling, simulation, and/or decision analysis;
  • Fluency with forecasting methodologies, tools (e.g. SPSS) and
    techniques (Markov);
  • Proven team and project leadership skills, experience in managing integrated cross-department initiatives;
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills and knowledge with the ability
    to understand the big picture;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to regularly present concise executive summaries, structured syntheses of insights and business recommendations to senior management;
  •  Ability to work collaboratively in matrixed environment within global community;
  • Expertise with relevant pharmaceutical data sources including sales
    data sources (e.g. IMS, Evaluate Pharma, Cegedim, etc.);
  • Experience in handling and analyzing various data types (e.g., epidemiologic and patient longitudinal claims data, sales, demand,
    units, promotional data) and experience with predictive data mining;
  • Proven track record of professional success in an analytics role;
  • Be able to work with a high degree of autonomy to plan,
    organize and implement multiple projects within time, budget and
    capacity constraints;
  • Set clear priorities and design KPIs for success with brand team;
  • Ability to handle variable workload levels and effectively prioritize.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge or experience in the Oncology therapeutic area;
  • Global experience;
  • Scarsin or ZS experience.
