Responsible for the overall leadership of all production and warehouse operations for the filtration division. Includes monitoring performance and building organizational capability to achieve desired service levels to customers.

Responsible for safety, quality, delivery, inventory and cost structure at all operations. Includes performance management of daily metrics and guidance required to ensure compliance with Eaton policy and EBS/OpA assessments. Requires roadmap to world-class High 5 metrics and model plant status for all sites.

Responsible for materials strategy across the division including consignment, min/max, and late point definition strategies. Includes expectation to leverage lean principles to drive annual reductions in inventory levels while still delivering competitive lead-times.

Responsible for strategic sourcing including cost out, payment terms, and strategic supplier relationships. Execute on global sourcing strategies to minimize risk to Eaton performance from the supply base.

Responsible for the quality management system for the division, certifications, customer complaints, root cause and corrective actions both internally and with suppliers.

Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and to reduce cost. Deploy value stream mapping, hour-by-hour tracking, standard work, 5S, pull systems, PMs, visual management and set-up reduction at the sites. Includes building a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization.

Responsible for deployment of capital according to approved levels in the profit plan.

Interface with functional leaders at the Group and Corporate level to benchmark and identify and deploy best practices in the division.

Ensure deployment of the Eaton Business System including MESH, ELSS, QMS, QFR, MMA, OpA and EBS Pull.

Personally lead effort to achieve zero incidents at all sites in the division.

Provide coaching and development to plant managers and functional managers. Ensure the same for next level down in the organization.

Support the Manufacturing Program Director to execute global manufacturing strategies that ensure optimal footprint for the division.

Support all the operational duties of managing director for the filtration operations in Germany excluding sales and marketing which is centralized for the division.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Field
-
Minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience
-
Fluency in English and German
-
Significant experience with day-to-day application of lean manufacturing systems including training, planning and implementation of tools

Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving tools/methods (six sigma, 8D)

Understands role of quality and variation reduction in driving operational improvement

Understands supplier quality, tools associated with new product development and launch, quality function deployment, quality management systems (QS, TS) and cost of quality

Strong ERP / Systems Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of the Eaton Business System

Strong communication skills and comfort with facilitating teams/groups and working with all levels in the organization including across cultures

Knowledge of change management techniques and demonstrated ability to drive operational improvement

Ability to organize and build effective teams, and motivate others and measure performance
