Job Summary Eaton is currently seeking a Director, Global Procurement, Electrical Devices and Electronic Manufacturing Services, located in the Office of Supply Chain Management in Dublin, Ireland. This role will be responsible for managing >$850M in spend across all of Eaton's businesses, globally. Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the Director, Global Procurement, Electrical Devices and Electronic Manufacturing Services will lead and support the development and deployment of the category strategy for Eaton's Enterprise spend for electronic manufacturing services and Electrical devices containing electronic components. Electronics are becoming more widely used across Eaton as electrification continues and Eaton's products become smarter and more digital. This leadership position will be expected to challenge the status quo and advance our category strategy to ensure we are driving resiliency in the portfolio and optimizing our global spend and partnership to position Eaton for growth moving forward. In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE) for the category by leveraging synergies across Eaton and driving the “One Supply Chain” philosophy with strategic suppliers to support the growth planned. This role will interact closely with cross-functions and will be responsible to ensure the Enterprise is focused on redesigning products for resiliency and ensuring Eaton is proactive in launching new products aligned with new technology and sustainable growth partners. This role interacts with suppliers in NE Asia, SE Asia, Europe, N. America and S. America and will have manage a global team, along with functional reports from our Eaton India Innovation Center. From a scope standpoint, the role leverages existing supplier relationships; identifies new supplier opportunities; works to consolidate the supply base; continually analyzes spend by conducing RFQs, ERFQs, E-Auctions, and should costing. This role will also be responsible for working with our global operations team to align on insourcing/outsourcing initiatives. Job Responsibilities Works closely with manufacturers around the globe, distributers, and internal Eaton manufacturing facilities to make sure that Eaton plants are supplied at all times at the most competitive price. Negotiates and manages supplier worldwide in accordance with Global Practices. Regulatory requirements for VG include Automotive Industry Standards (e.g., TS/IATF) and ROHS for the ES business (environmental standards). Ensures that key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, DPO, supplier consolidation, Diversity Spend, etc.) are achieved. Develops and executes a Sourcing strategy alignment with the Eaton Enterprise Strategy. Maintains high level relationship with suppliers, etc.and key stakeholders within Eaton. Ensures that high level of quality and deliver performance is maintained by suppliers and associated partners at all times. In the strategic role, responsible for leading continuous improvement events for driving pipeline activities and implemented cost savings (e.g., VAVE, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) Will work on big bet/gamechanger type projects with EIIC and SCM COE (Pune) to ensure that there is a healthy pipeline of cost out IDEAS. Will collaborate with CMs on should cost models and help set the stage for supplier negotiations. Role will work closely with Eaton sales to ensure alignment in approach and strategy with Eaton Distributers, who both buy and sell from Eaton. Qualifications Qualifications Education level required: Bachelors with an M.B.A. Years and area of experience required: 10+ years’ experience. Technical Knowledge: Background in global procurement, preferably with electronic manufacturing background and understanding of electronic component challenges in today's environment, with strong supplier relationships in space to drive immediate change. Soft skills: Strategic Thinking, Negotiation, Data/Contract Management, Executive presence, ability to motivate all levels of the organization through strong communication and Influencing Skills (in English).
