Position Overview: Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Director of Global Reporting & Analysis. This position will lead the Reporting & Analysis, performance controlling, and Top-Down scenario modeling activities across the Corporation. This is a hybrid position that can be based in any Eaton facility. Reporting to VP Financial Planning & Analysis, this person is responsible to lead the consolidation, reporting and analysis of monthly results, forecasts, and plans. The role is also responsible for top-down modeling and financial scenario planning. Additionally, this individual must provide insightful business analyses to senior management to support the development of objectives and action plans to achieve those objectives. The position requires a high level of detailed analysis in a complex organization, and the ability to be highly responsive and accurate. This person will interact with a wide range of people across the organization and requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly, and to communicate with people in all functional areas of the organization. Essential Responsibilities: Develop financial reporting commentary and reporting metrics Development and management of Corporate and functional budgets Develop and lead financial top-down and scenario planning models Provide support and analysis to Investor Relations and Senior Leadership in preparation of quarterly earnings release materials Play key role in the development of Corporate strategy and lead the consolidation of the company-wide strategic plan Coordinate the tactical development of the profit plan, ensuring documentation is complete, required schedules are provided, and accuracy is validated. Ensure adherence to all generally accepted accounting and finance policies, procedures, and schedules Supervise workload for GFSS Finance team and coordinate daily, monthly, and special projects Lead a team of financial professionals supporting both Sectors and Corporate Create a high-performance talent pool to export to the businesses. Create a culture of intellectual rigor, performance, and leadership. Support diligence, analysis, and modeling of new acquisition opportunities and strategic projects Develops training and skill improvement plans to continuously improve team performance Provide content and analysis for Board of Director presentations Leverage understanding of root cause in financial variance to positively impact overall business performance Provide commercial analysis and support to the operations Support the analysis and understanding of the competitive landscape including analysis of external financials (where available) and relevant business activity Position Criteria: Thorough understanding of general accepted accounting principles and financial processes Ability to manage conflicting priorities. Proficient with financial reporting systems, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Self-Starter with the ability to develop strategic initiatives and drive results Must be a proactive communicator to all levels of management Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set that is effective at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to influence broad organization and the attainment of objectives Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and relationships in a global organization Leadership consulting, influencing and coaching skills Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives. Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of progressive breadth of experience in Accounting and Finance Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a manager of people.
