Job Description

Due to recent growth in our China operations, we are sourcing a Director of People and Performance (China HR Head). Working closely with the China Deputy Managing Director, Head of Operations and Finance, and Regional People and Performance Leaders, this position is tasked with driving the strategic direction of the Human Resource functions across the China business.

Key areas of responsibility include managing and steering performance of people through change management, adoption of HR standards and systems, introduction & implementation of learning & development programs, recruitment and talent benchmarking, along with the below:   

Human Resource Business Partner

  • Act as a senior level business partner to deliver people outcomes that are aligned with the business strategy and drive value for the company; Identify new business strategies and adjust HR strategies to changing needs of the business.
  • Partner with local MDs, P&P Teams & HODs in providing the right P&P service platform to drive for business success.
  • Consulting with management at the strategic level for high level business alignment.
  • Provide a single point of contact around key HR processes for the leaders of the Company.
  • Drive people-oriented change programs effectively.

Human Resource Standardization

  • Establish the right compensation strategy to support for the talent acquisition and management initiatives.
  • Ensure the right level of P&P policy and procedures are put in place and well communicated.
  • Drive a consistent employee communication strategy to facilitate better employee relations.

Talent Acquisition

  • Help determine and implement appropriate HR programs to grow the company in alignment with the talent strategy & people aspects of the business strategy – typically with a strong focus on skill needs and development.
  • Work with the Associate Director Careers and local management in preparing the headcount plan.
  • To drive down the use of agency use and focus on direct sourcing partnering with regional staffing.

Talent Management

  • Work with the Associate Director Careers, local MDs and P&P teams in leveraging the learning & development roadmap including management development.
  • To execute the regional learning and development roadmap at the local level.
  • Work with the Associate Director Careers, local MDs and P&P teams in leveraging learning & development platform to support career development and drive employee retention.
  • Coach leaders within the Company, to help them achieve their potentials; help develop next generation of leaders.
  • Act as a ‘caretaker’ of engagement for the people of the company. Develop programs as necessary to address engagement and employee value proposition.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have the following competencies:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Degree or relevant qualifications.
  • Ideally exposure to the real estate industry.
  • Proven work experience as an HR business partner.
  • Full understanding of all HR functions.
  • A proven people leader, with strong HR transformation experience.
  • A strategic thinker and ability to inspire and lead.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Analytical and goal oriented.
  • Demonstratable experience with HR metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR software and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of labor legislation.
