To learn more about how Deloitte makes an impact that matters in China, connect with the Deloitte China social media platforms at www2.deloitte.com/cn/en/social-media.Work you'll do: Partners with the CIO in providing technology vision and direction for the enterprise.Responsible for driving focus and prioritization within the IT organization through establishing strategic planning and governance principles and processes.Manages the team of people who make up the IT Business Planning & Management team.Oversees the development and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, methodologies, and governance — as well as performance management frameworks and metrics — to ensure the IT organization delivers value to the enterprise.Works with the CIO and business leadership team, providing broad insight to IT domains and capabilities in support of firm-wide business decisions.Establishes and implements continuous-improvement programs for the IT organization.Stays current with developments in new market trends and innovations in technology and the leadership of enterprise IT.Drives and facilitates effective collaboration and communications between the IT organization and the user and global communities.Responsible for directing the preparation, review and consolidation of business plans and budgets for the IT organizationReviews regularly IT costs and cost structures for IT services and products so that the financial implications of IT projects and activities are communicated to the proper IT and business executives.Directs risk evaluation and compliance management processes.Responsible for developing and managing strategic vendor and partnership relationships.Oversees the execution of high-impact, firm-wide, strategic programs or initiatives.Oversees IT workforce management, including the sourcing, training and development of staff.Assumes CIO responsibilities as directed during the CIO's absence.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in the field of information technology, business administration or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. PMP certified. A minimum of 10 years of in-depth business experience, with the most recent 5 to 7 years of leadership responsibilities. Experience in business/industry (beyond IT), managing cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs, including the ability to differentiate between a relevant trend and hype. Ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and information management across the IT organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others. Builds both formal and informal professional networks.
Maintains and extends networks within, across and external to organizational boundaries. Solicits advice, support, championship, sponsorship and commitment that result in smooth transitions of change and the development of mutually acceptable solutions. With strong business acumen and business planning skills. Solicits information on enterprise direction, goals and industry competitive environment to determine how own function can add value to the organization and to user satisfaction.
Makes decisions and recommendations clearly linked to the organization's strategy and financial goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics.
