Director, International Public Relations, Body Contouring & Professional Engagement Summary: The Director, PR & Communications for Body Contouring & Professional Engagement (Ex-US), will report to the Executive Director of PR & Communications International leading both the Allergan Aesthetics body contouring portfolio and key B2B initiatives. This position will span Consumer, Healthcare Professional, and Internal engagement categories, develop and lead integrated strategy through to driving data-driven communications initiatives. The role will involve working closely alongside the International Communications team, International Marketing, International Business Excellence functions to lead and develop overall International strategic approach, tactical development, and execution of PR efforts across the business, while following through to ensure results driven success at an affiliate level supporting the body contouring portfolio. In addition, for established and new to launch professional programs, this role will be responsible for driving the creation of new, integrated communications strategies, working closely with International program owners to develop, align and implement highly impactful programs in partnership with International and affiliate stakeholders. The successful candidate will lead development of communications input into overarching across portfolio programs that span healthcare professional communications, digital execution, internal comms, consumer educational campaigns, while clearly establishing, championing and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to establish and implement new communications programs. They will also work closely with the Compliance, Medical and Affiliate Communications teams to navigate and plan the strategy for data-driven communications at key points throughout the year, driving awareness while clearly differentiating our brands (product & service) to internal and external stakeholders. Ideally, the preferred candidate, will have experience working in-agency and in-house providing knowledge, support and guidance to Affiliate Communications team; introducing the latest strategies, platforms and technologies to execute ambitious and disruptive campaigns in country. The Director, Body Contouring & Professional Engagement will act as representative for Allergan Aesthetics, assigned brands and programs, and will be expected to immerse themselves in the aesthetics industry and build relationships with key members of the media, agency partners and key opinion leaders that we partner with across the business. They will also need to identify and implement performance metrics to measure program/platform effectiveness and take a proactive approach to evaluation at International and country level to ascertain learnings/best practice. Essential Job Functions: Work closely and collaboratively with brand teams, countries and multifunctional leadership to understand and identify target needs and motivations. Commercially savvy, ability to understand business and communication models and challenge and lead the thinking on PR and communications Collaborate with international leadership to develop broader engagement strategy for health care practitioners, internal stakeholders and consumers Excellent written and oral communications skills with a competency in press release development, key message creation and public speaking Present plans, results reports, and analysis to departmental leadership in partnership with the Executive Director and functional supportive teams Develop a solid knowledge of products, key messages, and regulatory requirements for full product portfolio Learn the complexities of the aesthetics market and media landscape, supporting ideation for and development of strategic PR programs, taking into consideration the cultural nuances across our international leading markets Oversee agency partners to ensure successful and timeline implementation, execution of public relations programs and driving robust evaluation frameworks Excellent written and oral communications skills with a competency in press release development, key message creation and public speaking Lead support cross-functional collaboration across the facial aesthetics teams identifying partnership opportunities and efficiencies Qualifications Qualifications Knowledge required of: Champion new and innovative communications tools and methods Business and personal computer hardware and software applications Business English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation Associated Press style writing, public relations and media elements Current Company policies, practices, and procedures, particularly within UK derestriction. Familiar with ABPI guidelines Preferably, experience working in both agency and in-house environments Good understanding of scientific writing and trade communications Skills required in: Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and when presenting to audiences of all levels.
