Job Description

Position Title: Director, Marketing

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Mississauga

Reporting to the Vice President, RIA, the Director, Marketing leads the team across Respiratory Inhaled brands including oversight of the development of the brand plan, brand strategy, positioning, Strategic/Operational Planning and Execution and Lifecycle Planning.

You lead a brand team, ensuring your people are engaged and reaching their potential. You provide day- to- day mentoring to your direct reports to ensure that the brand-operating plan is successfully executed and that meetings with the Sales Organization are successful. You lead the Lifecycle Team and its mandate to improve the long-term potential of the portfolio through cross-functional planning.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops the marketing teams including but not limited to performance management, talent management and career development
  • Leads activities across brands, including the definition, design, execution and measurement of all marketing strategies and tactics to deliver on the brands’ objectives
  • Leads the collaboration for the successful sales execution for the portfolio
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams both locally and globally to execute the strategic plan
  • Accountable for the development and ownership of relevant commercial forecasts, high level P&L and budgetary compliance
  • Works collaboratively with leaders across the business to share winning initiatives and improve opportunities to develop common tactical platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Science or Business is required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead large teams
  • Demonstrated leadership of respiratory brands with market shaping and launch experience
  • Has developed budget and resourcing plans to ensure effective operational delivery
  • Experience attracting, assessing and developing talent and optimising team performance in direct and matrixed leadership roles
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Canadian Healthcare environment

  • Strong Scientific acumen with ability to assess and drive portfolio value.
  • Exceptional strategic problem solving, judgement and influencing skills to ensure strong commercial focus and consistency
  • Strong leader with General Manager mind-set - able to articulate a vision, set direction and encourage dedication for own organization, the interface and broader TA to get results and hold others accountable
  • Seasoned marketer – in-depth understanding of competitive landscape, able to frame strategic implications and improve business outcomes
  • Enterprise thinking and entrepreneurial leadership through leading change and transformation while having a broader perspective of brand, TA and organizational needs
  • Able to express complex, results-oriented ideas and strategies in clear and compelling ways to multiple groups
  • Strong financial knowledge can assess and improve portfolio value
  • Through review of analytics, able to draw scalable solutions based on the insights
