Under the general supervision of the Sr. Director, Operations Finance, role will interface with multiple parties including but not limited to Operations, BU Finance, Shared Services, M&A, etc. managing a team of centralized and decentralized individuals to enact successful forecasting, budgeting, and reporting across multiple manufacturing sites.  Role will require an individual with the ability to problem solve independently while providing updates and communications to management.

Individual must have proven leadership experience with ability to coach, challenge, and inspire employees to perform optimally at BD.  Must be comfortable managing and developing remote employees.

Main Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities of the Operations Finance Center of Excellence (COE), ensuring high-quality financial business intelligence is delivered timely and efficiently to cross-functional customers
• Ensures accounting treatments are accurate and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  Is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls and assisting with periodic testing in support of Sarbanes-Oxley and external audit requirements.  Proactively engages finance partners for technical treatments where disagreement or uncertainty exists.
• Provide leadership and process management in support of Annual Global Product Costing.
• Architects solutions for Operations Finance problems and builds consensus with customers and information providers for successful execution
• Creates an open and inclusive environment for employees to grow and challenge themselves- the Operations Finance COE should be a net exporter of of talent to the Finance organization
• Creates and inspires an atmosphere of continuous improvement and cooperation between the COE and its stakeholders
• Identifies opportunities to further standardize and improve existing processes and reporting
• Travel to manufacturing site locations and business unit/stakeholder sessions, as required
