Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent will assume the following:

• Lead and oversee the work of the Operations Division
• Formulate strategies and policies, and oversee the establishment and implementation of mechanisms and procedures for handling enquiries, complaints and disputes, conducting inspections and investigations on suspected cases of non-compliance with the Ordinance and directives, codes of conduct, etc. issued by the TIA
• Oversee the setting up and management of a hotline system for handling enquiries, requests for assistance and complaints from consumers and the general public
• Build and lead an enforcement team to conduct inspections and investigations on suspected cases of non-compliance
• Direct and decide on the enforcement actions to be pursued for each case of suspected non-compliance with the Ordinance, and directives, codes of conduct etc issued by the TIA; and make referrals of relevant cases to the relevant Government departments (including the Department of Justice), the TIA and/or the Disciplinary Committee for further actions
• Perform full range of managerial duties in relation to staff and resources allocated to the Division
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Requirements

• Holder of a university degree with not less than 8 years of work experience at senior management level
• Experience in inspection and investigation work, preferably in regulatory bodies
• Good command of written English and Chinese and fluent in spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage
• Experience in the travel industry would be an advantage
