About the team: The One Commercial Partner (OCP) organization plays a critical role in Microsoft’s cloud growth and digital transformation with customers. The Go To Market (GTM) team in OCP is responsible for driving the holistic go-to-market approach across the partner ecosystem for all customer solution areas (Modern Workplace, Business Applications, Apps & Infrastructure, Data & Analytics). Our mission is to accelerate Partner success in market through people, programs, investments, and campaigns across the partner lifecycle.

 

 

About the role:

The partner enablement team is key to Microsoft's partner strategy as part of the One Commercial Partner (OCP) organization. As the director of Microsoft’s enablement team across the four solution areas of Apps & Infrastructure, Data & AI, Modern Workplace and Business applications, this team is responsible for designing the strategy to reach, upskill and grow the business and technical capability with partners to increase and expand partner solutions into the largest customer base in the world. This leader will be leading a team of highly skilled product and marketing experts to harness the various programs, engines and insights to build a high velocity enablement engine to reach widely across our 60K partners and deep within our largest partners for practice development and expanded capacity to serve our customers.

 

Under this leader, holds the responsibility for building the partner capabilities strategy, increase number of partners proficient in advanced workloads and build the right engagement model and technical intensity through programs and engines that expand both virtual and in person enablement. The leader should understand the partner ecosystem, how to drive reach and scale and build repeatable programs to ensure that partners are continuing to transform and have the most recent skillsets and capabilities to meet the demands of our customers and their digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

 

Drive partner enablement strategy and plan across Microsoft products and services

  • Understand Microsoft value proposition, partner storybook, brand and programs to drive new recruitment
  • Understand local Microsoft products and services capacity needs and gaps
  • Create an end-to-end partner enablement plan across Microsoft products and services
  • Validate enablement plan across relevant OCP roles to ensure alignment

 

Grow partner capacity through building capabilities to meet or exceed capacity gaps

  • Orchestrate enablement plan by assigned partner
  • Coordinate with Microsoft partner recruitment team to engage new partners
  • Accelerate partner certifications and capabilities through headquarters and local enablement programs and engines
  • Land digital and in-person enablement engines and content to partners
  • Deliver the right enablement activities in the right format, to the right partner audience, at the right time

 

Leverage the partner website to optimize local digital engagement

  • Ensure local trainings opportunities are integrated into the digital journey experiences on the partner website
  • Ensure local webinars and other digital trainings are integrated into the partner website experience and platform

 

Optimize partner enablement execution through community collaboration

  • Coordinate overall partner enablement efforts with Microsoft subsidiary teams and engines to insure effectiveness
  • Report on progress and challenges with enabling our partners within your Microsoft subsidiary and to Microsoft headquarters
  • Share partner enablement best practices

  • Use internal and external learning resources to build expertise, enabling business value and solution driven conversations with your partners
  • Complete all required Microsoft professional and technical trainings

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in leading product or channel marketing, partner channel development, business development, through partner marketing, in the IT industry
  • Proven track record and experience in partner or product marketing and sales programs strategy and execution
  • Proven management experience in leading, developing and motivating team members
  • Strategic thinking with demonstrated creative problem solving of complex business issues through analytics, data driven insights, organizational skills and sound judgment
  • Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment
  • Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with technology platforms and solutions with a reasonable level of technical proficiency across the four Microsoft solution areas
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA desired
