In this role you will have end-to-end accountability for the HERE Portfolio strategy including Content, Services, Platform and Applications for the North Asia Region, specifically China. You will oversee a team of portfolio managers to achieve objectives while remaining true to our values and competencies. You will build an environment that fosters innovation and support continuous improvement in our product lifecycle, in order to optimize customer opportunities. Communicate both internally and externally regarding portfolio design, investment strategies and strategic and tactical positioning.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the availability of solid market data (Total Addressable and Serviceable Market sizes) to better drive prioritization decisions. Collaborating with Product Marketing and Marketing Intelligence to define requirements for research projects.
• Ensuring the regional portfolio team develops compelling business cases and requirements documents (including pricing recommendation) to drive product innovation, new product development, product extensions and adoption of the existing portfolio.
• Providing investment priorities in the scaling or expansion of the HERE product portfolio (Content, Services, Platform and Applications). Delivering an integrated regional portfolio roadmap.
• Representing the full HERE product portfolio for the regional market with sales and customers. Driving adoption of the portfolio among target customers and partners.
• Providing required support for sales and joint venture in China: This could include Customer meetings, RFP/RFQ response and closed loop inquiry support.
• Handling product launch and adoption including associated budget by working closely with the operational teams within the organization and from the Chinese partner side.
• Engaging directly with customers and utilizing their input and market knowledge to define and prioritize product requirements.
• Leading a team of portfolio managers with full accountability for the designated region. Be responsible for the end-to-end leadership performance and development of the team.
• Continuously improving our Go-To-Market strategies and tactics and effectively collaborate with Product Marketing.
• Representing HERE technologies at external events and forums including speaking engagements.

You are a strong match for this role if you possess the following skills, competencies and work experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business,
• 15 years + relevant professional experience in tech/software industry with 10 years in a product management role
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal Mandarin and English. Experience working with both multinational companies and local Chinese companies.
• Consistent track record of running all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Familiarity with software development practices and web services
• Knowledge and/or understanding of maps and location-based services
• Ability to collect relevant data and analyze it to produce recommendations, points of view and perform root-cause analysis
• Experience with financial modeling techniques like NPV, ROI, IRR, Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
• Consistent track record of building and leading highly performing teams
• Skilled at working effectively with globally dispersed cross functional teams in a matrixed organization
• Knowledge and cultural awareness of the region served
• Ability to lead and cope with ambiguous/dynamic situations with our JV partners and work closely with the operational teams which are not direct line reports.
