Microsoft Capacity Supply Chain and Provisioning (CSCP) is the team behind Microsoft’s expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft’s “Intelligent Cloud” mission. CSCP delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform. To achieve this goal CSCP is looking for dynamic, highly motivated leader to help develop a world class infrastructure for the manufacturing engineering organization to enable the building of Azure servers that powers the world’s largest online services.
This role is pivotal for executing on the quality management excellence strategy and for successfully enabling the Cloud Hardware Manufacturing Engineering (CHME) team with industry leading process, metrics, dashboards and tools. As the Directory of Quality Management Infrastructure, you will be leading a team of program managers and engineers that are responsible for providing solution architecture and requirements as well as project management for both programs in development, sustaining programs, as well as long term and short term strategic digitization solutions. This role requires a collaborative business leader with strong technical experience in system architecture, design and software development, extensive project/program management experience, understanding of the production development and quality engineering disciplines, and the ability to successfully influence in a highly matrixed environment. Partnering with your peers (NPI program managers, Development team, Quality Engineers, Test Engineers and Data Center), representing cross-functional disciplines and executing change management strategies driving operational and digitization efficiencies.
This role requires the ability to quickly understand the big picture with an eye on underlying details and the ability to lead projects. The role places a premium on working collaboratively and developing successful internal and cross-functional relationships with multiple stakeholders, as well as the capability to synthesize, analyze, and frame complex engineering/operating models and processes in a logical and forward-thinking manner. In this position you will lead specific departments of the organization down a path to more clear concise metrics and processes that make the manufacturing engineering life cycle management more efficient in delivering above industry standard quality.

- Manage the entire architecture development and digitalization of CHME metrics from establishing requirements, to design, implementation, release and end user training of new dashboards and data sources.
- Deep dive into manufacturing engineering and quality metrics to create definition and documentation on business essential requirements, reporting structures, system solution architecture for all levels of metrics and design the interface for presentation.
- Work with a broad constituency at all organizational levels to advocate the adoption and application of quality metrics process improvement concepts and principles aimed at improving the efficiency of product creation.
- Own report outs of CHME performance KPIs and metrics.
- Track analyze and report progress to key stakeholders.
- Facilitate change management and lead subject matter experts to increase productivity using enhanced metrics, process improvement methodologies and new, high performance dashboards and tools.
- Facilitate the organization’s continuous improvement process in digitization and metric development and monitor and control the activities across functions as defined in project and program debriefing sessions
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, operations, engineering, product and program management environment
- 5+ years of experience leading large teams
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in Business or Process Management or Operations including experience utilizing process improvement methodologies in a large organizational setting
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or any relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, operations, engineering, product and program management environment
- Master Degree
- Proven problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skills
- Be a self-starter and a leader that can maintain focus and deliver results consistently that drive business capability value
- Drive through ambiguity, self-motivated and thrives on minimal supervision. Sound judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to work under continual deadline pressure in an extremely volatile and high paced environment
- Confident, takes ownership, willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done with proven experience leading complex programs/initiatives to successful completion
- Strong written and oral communication skills with experience providing project status to line and senior management
- Strong understanding of business planning and cross-organizational consulting and/or support processes - preferably in a very large, matrixed enterprise
