What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be accountable for the Raw Material, Device and Packaging Component Planning and Procurement, Supply Planning of the Manufacturing Plant and Launch and Life Cycle Management at Amgen Ohio (AOH) and will be a member of the AOH SLT Management Team reporting to the VP Site Operations. This role is key for Amgen’s success and it will be a key contributor in the AOH Supply Chain organization.
Manage team of ~10 people ensuring a robust performance management, staff development, and succession & retention planning.
Own the Integrated Business Planning process for AOH Site, including executive reviews of Demand, Supply Capacity and Inventory Plans, Life Cycle Management and Raw Material Governance.
Lead the internal Supply Review for AOH Site Supply Chain.
Lead Supply Planning strategy in consultation with site, regional and global stakeholders and actively participate in relevant transformation initiatives.
Develop business cases for executive leadership to improve performance (efficiency, speed, agility) aligned with business strategy and lead implementation.
Measure and report on Key Supply Chain Performance measures and drive continuous improvement leveraging Amgen standard tools and methods.
Actively participate in the global planning network and Strategic Planning meeting in site and network.
Point of contact for Supply Impact Assessments.
Continuously enhance Business Continuity and Safety Plans including emerging needs for response to natural disasters worldwide and cyber events.
Ensure maximum use of Supply Chain systems, ensure master data and transactional data accuracy for planning systems and drive data driven decision making
Accountable for the daily operations of the AOH Supply Chain planning organization and responsible for meeting budget targets.
Anticipates change and establishes a vision to meet strategic objectives and priorities.
Drives business strategy and translates plans into departmental objectives.
Develops programs considering multiple/diverse views of other functions or external agencies.
Identifies network or process shortcomings, research options and advocates for change.
Analyzes and forecasts business and market trends.
Leads and plans implementation of major change efforts.
Skillfully presents complex information to key executives or agency representatives on high-visibility issues.
Organizes, analyzes, and communicates metrics and data to present operations performance.
Clear communication and presentations both within and outside operations functions.
Develops solutions to departmental and cross-functional business problems through in-depth analysis, coordination, and negotiation with key decision makers.
Manage sophisticated and ambiguous issues to identify critical factors to enable decision making.
Responds effectively to crises.

What we expect of you
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Supply Chain professional we seek is a leader with strong strategic problem solver with these qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of Supply Chain experience
Or
Master’s degree and 8 years of Supply Chain experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of Supply Chain experience
And
4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Beyond that, preferred qualifications are:
Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Material Management and/or Industrial Engineering educational background.
APICS CPIM, CSCP or SCOR-P certified.
5+ years of Supply Chain Management.
Operational Excellence experience in regulated industry.
Experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, GDP OSHA).
Good understanding of ERP-SAP, Rapid Response and supply chain systems
Proficient user of software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Smart sheet, Skype, Tableau).
Leadership and team building skills.
Negotiating, Budgeting, Goal setting, Resource Planning and Decision Making skills.
Executive presence with a strategic thinking skill set.
Change management skills and understanding of role of sponsor.
Good organizational and communications skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Continuous improvement mentality.
Experience working in a global environment, ability to collaborate closely/communicate effectively at different management levels.
Availability for international business trips and to support non-standard shift organization with the flexibility to work extended hours.
Knowledge of staff relations with the ability to coach, mentor and counsel staff when needed.
Knowledge of basic compensation system practices and methodologies.
