Bentley Systems is seeking a Total Rewards Director who will be a key member of our Talent Advancement team. This position will report to the VP, HR Business Partner, and provide a unique opportunity for a professional looking for a new challenge.  You will be responsible for leading our Benefits function in the US and Compensation function globally with design, execution, reporting, and auditing of practices and policies in a public company. You will lead a team of capable Compensation and Benefits professionals and have the opportunity to work with talented colleagues and leaders across our organization. Your days will be diverse and challenging, sometimes working on core operational work and other times partnering with leaders for strategic initiatives. Bentley provides a unique environment for self-motivated professionals to grow and thrive, so if this sounds like you, please apply! 

 

Location: This position has the flexibility to be based from a home office or, if preferred, a local Bentley office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy and execution on rewards programs, policies, and practices in line with company talent strategy, including global compensation and US benefit plan design, administration, compliance and auditing, and change management initiatives
  • Identify competitive trends and opportunities for improvement within compensation and benefit space to develop rewards colleagues rave about, implement measures, and evaluate success
  • Ensure consistency of approach between rewards and performance management practices
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and Bentley leadership on executive compensation plans and reporting
  • Plan, develop, and lead implementation and training of all compensation and benefits processes
  • Oversee communication plans to ensure colleagues understand and appreciate value of rewards packages
  • Oversee Annual Salary Review process
  • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency in practices according to all entities global (compensation) and domestic (benefits) including but not limited to: GDPR, FLSA, OFCCP, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, OSHA, and PPACA
  • Partner with HR Operational Excellence team to evaluate rewards plans for acquisitions and develop integration plans
  • Collaborate with other members of HR team to ensure ownership and understanding of rewards frameworks and guidelines
  • Oversee reporting and analysis for various stakeholders
  • Manage vendors in both compensation and benefits areas
  • Lead high performing team of rewards professionals

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Finance, or Mathematics preferred, or relevant experience
  • At least 8 – 10 years of Benefits and Compensation related experience in a global public company
  • At least 3 – 5 years of people management experience
  • Thorough working knowledge of the operation and administration of all US benefit programs including: 401(k), Medical, Rx, HSA, Dental, Life, Disability, FSA, Education Assistance, EAP, Voluntary Benefits, etc.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills appropriate for working with colleagues at all levels
  • Familiarity with Talent Management system and Benefits Administration systems a plus
