What you will do

In this vital role you will be a critical leader within our US Value & Access team, reporting to Executive Director, Competitive Strategy, this Director is accountable to implement and monitor controls across US Value and Access. The ideal candidate will work in a matrixed environment across internal teams, such as Contracting, Operations, Market Access, Value and Access Insights, Coverage and Pricing, Value Marketing, Patient Access, Trade and others. You will grow to understand all aspects of the Amgen business and be able to collaborate across a variety of stakeholders. You will organize information, create excellent business documents and prepare reports to present to executive management is critical in this function.

The successful candidate will manage details, create clear documents to ensure excellent communication and collaboration.

KEY ACTIVITIES (Responsibilities: Duties / Accountabilities)

• Work with partners outside of US Value & Access, including Audit and Compliance, to understand all requirements for SOX and other internal controls.
• Document and coordinate all requirements in a repository that is able to be accessed, used and understood by internal constituents.
• Ensure necessary SOPs are in place, updated and ensure adherence.
• Ensure proper controls are implemented and maintained across USV&A.
• Report quarterly on status of all activities for executive presentation

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of value & access, legal, compliance and/or contracting experience

Or

Master’s degree and 8 years of value & access, legal, compliance and/or contracting experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of value & access, legal, compliance and/or contracting experience

And

4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

• History of dedication, high proficiency, and demonstrated ability to solve problems
• Strong technical skills and highly collaborative while driving completion of required actions
• Strong demonstrated ability in leading and influencing cross-functional teams
• Strong communication effectiveness; ability to effectively engage, connect, and influence senior management
• Ability to translate and communicate complex information/strategies into simple and impactful execution plans
• Ability to manage details, provide excellent documentation and monitor compliance across Amgen
• Strong skills in production of materials with excellent power point skills.
