POSITION SUMMARY:
Overall Purpose
The Director- l Logistics- Warehouse and Distribution will report directly to the VP of Supply Chain and manage the strategic Logistic and Warehouse functions of the company. He/She will oversee the Macau, Philippines and Manila operations. Development of Supply Chain systems, a long-term plan of logistics coordination and global capacity. Will ensure and drive a long-term and sustainable people strategy for Macau, Manila and Cyprus. Secure all resources for the logistics for Project roll ours and expansions.
The Director- Logistics- Warehouse and Distribution is to proactively provide support both in terms of development/implementation of logistics strategy and for improving existing markets and aiding in their continuous development. He/she must be able to analyze logistics internal and external environmental impact, cost drivers, trend, potential issues, and risks with knowledge and expertise, develop logistics strategy. Continuously improves and re-evaluates of lean manufacturing principles applicable to logistics and distribution environment, develop a strategic partnership with highly capable logistics providers, and represent the company in all dealings and negotiation with the suppliers.
The Director- Logistics-Warehouse will be responsible for the implementation of a new Supply Chain Procurement system and Paperless model for warehousing and Distribution
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of Supply Chain Systems- Paperless Receiving and Distribution
- Management of logistics assets
- Minimize logistics overhead and working capital use
- Develop and oversee transportation procurement strategies which include third party selection and evaluation
- Develop and oversee warehouse management strategies which include optimization of warehouse footprint
- Facilitate optimization of inbound and outbound freight management
- Design and lead continuous cost reduction and value improvement activities
- Perform administrative management duties such as performance management, pay planning, succession and resource planning and budgets.
- Ensuring a priority focus on safe work practices, striving to achieve zero harm – keep our people safe.
- Undertaking strong people leadership practices and influencing towards ac culture of accountability.
- Support the development of quality medium and long term planning and strategy.
- Monitoring external best practice and bringing relevant improvement to Melco.
- Lead the team to ensure a high level of Health and Safety culture.
- Ensure effective utilization of available leadership resources.
- Participate in change process, global transformation initiative, new global supply chain system roll out.
Occupational Safety and Health
- Develop and oversea a Global plan for OSH matters, a plan culture of transparency and accountability on OSH matters at the front-line of operations.
- Works with OSH team to regularly update safety practices in the operational area including instigating RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and risk assessment initiative where appropriate to improve safety and operational efficiency.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace and adherence to good housekeeping practices.
- Lead OSH Workgroup meetings.
- Investigate critical incident and risk. Establishes relevant and effective safety controls.
Supply Chain Leadership and Cost Savings
- Provides good leadership between warehouse and Business units , working to build constructive customer service oriented practice with the multiple end users •Identify items that can be standardized for Melco in order to leverage on volume purchase and generate cost-saving.
- Continuously search for new products, technologies or methods for potential savings.
- Track and quantify cost savings and other benefits to be communicated back senior management.
- Continuously conduct process improvement program to optimize work/process efficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- Demonstrate strong strategic thinking, negotiation, analytical and coordination skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited data exists.
- Expertise in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, material management is recommended.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Nimble - Flexible and responsive to change
- Experience with Birchstreet is a plus. Prior experience with Redrock or SWS is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through new business processes
- Strong analytical skill, with a keen understanding of relevant cost drivers
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited data exists.
- Good understanding of hotel operation and Casino business, Hotel Food and beverage background is a plus
- Diversified background with significant exposure to Supply Chain management and strategic logistic and warehouse
- Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Flexible and responsive to change
- Works well under pressure and without supervision
- Time management skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain. MBA is preferred
- 5 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties of the position
