Eaton is seeking a Director, Workforce Analytics and Planning to join the team. This position can be based anywhere in the United States. Position Overview: As the leader of the Workforce Insights Team, the Director, Workforce Analytics and Planning is responsible for leading all aspects of workforce reporting, analytics and planning globally - including ongoing operations and future vision and roadmap for analytics and planning. This leader will leverage data, analytics and planning in direct partnership with senior business leaders and executives to drive talent strategy and targeted actions. This role is responsible for driving the evolution of workforce analytic tools, enabling strategic workforce planning, and driving standardization and automation in the use of HR analytics. This innovative leader will also be responsible for adopting external best practices and technologies to drive efficiency and impact of all workforce analytic and planning efforts. The leader will lead through influence and work hand-in-hand with all HR functions, IT, Engineering, Finance, etc. pulling together decision makers across these functions with the goal to deliver better workforce insights and talent plans. The role will establish the roadmap for leveraging people data in new ways to solve business challenges with analytics and planning and will lead the advancement of analytics skills across the HR function. This role serves as the functional leader of the Workforce Insights Team responsible for all aspects of the management of the global Workforce Insight Team - e.g., recruitment, development, resource planning, BOC, profit planning, etc. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for providing business and HR leaders with expert internal consultation regarding workforce data, analytics and planning. Create insights to guide decision-making of talent management and HR processes that lead to bottom-line results. Responsible for adopting external best practices and technologies to drive efficiency and impact of all workforce analytic and planning efforts Provides counsel to CHRO, HR COEs, HR leaders, as well as business/functional leaders to understand their analytics and drive talent strategy associated with targeted actions. Oversees all aspects of the design, creation and deployment of interactive, self-service reporting and analytic solutions, leveraging leading edge data visualization tools Ensures deployment of consistent, repeatable approaches to ad hoc data and analytic requests, overseeing automation and/or documentation as appropriate. Develops workforce analytic and planning strategic roadmap, ensuring delivery of the analytical and support needs of the customer, while ensuring the team can effectively support future applications, analytics, and predictive modeling aligned to the HR strategic Plan. Develops the data strategy roadmap to collect newly created data or utilize existing data to drive actionable insights that positively impact business performance. Contributes HR analytics expertise and insights into company strategic workforce planning framework and process. Aligns Eaton’s HR analytics capabilities with the HR strategic Plan. Responsible for leading the realization of an advanced HR analytics platform, building a best-in-class customer experience for insight delivered out of multiple systems. Advances a culture where HR insight is presented in business terms, ensuring HR and operational leaders can make decisions using workforce intelligence that is aligned with customer outcomes, business objectives, and financial results. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in data science, industrial / organizational psychology, statistics, business or mathematics from an accredited institution Minimum 8 years’ professional work experience including a focus on technical background/expertise in business / HR analytics or data science Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Position Criteria: Technical knowledge: Expertise in advanced analytics and/or statistics, including prior professional experience using R, Python, Alteryx, or other data science languages. Successful track record consulting with and influencing business and technology leaders. Notably, the successful candidate will be a business-driven leader who aligns analytics to business outcomes. Demonstrated success in contributing to the development of enterprise-wide analytics capabilities. Possesses working knowledge in HR processes and metrics. External certification (e.g., HCI) or minimum of years of experience in strategic workforce planning or workforce analytics. Soft skills: Strong leadership presence, communication skills. Able to effectively translate technical and complex concepts into practical, meaningful HR and business ideas / recommendations. Consensus-driven style and will value the creation of collaborative relationships. Experience in a highly matrixed fast paced business. Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, including project planning and management skills.
