About our Client

• Our client is a highly successful consumer brand located in Los Angeles and its products are sold in retailers throughout North America. They source products from Asia primarily through their teams in Shanghai, Shenzhen & Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Head of Asia Sourcing with P&L responsibilities.
• Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies from globally sourced vendors, ensuring to propose best costs, quality and delivery
• Responsible for leading supply chain functions for multiple sourcing offices including: Sourcing, Planning, Engineering, Quality & Shipping
• Focus on implementation of strategic projects, including but not limited to, vendor selection, cost reductions, movement of supply base, lead-time improvement, in coordination of overall operations teams and partnered suppliers.
• Drive to successfully achieve target margins for YOY growth for existing and new products.
• Providing strong leadership to the employees, ensuring high morale, team work and good employee relations, at all levels.

Key Requirements

• This is the top position within the Asia Global Sourcing Team and requires someone with a best-in-class procurement and sourcing background, strong communication skills and understanding of the functions of a global supply chain.
• Significant experience in Supply Chain Management, New Product Development, Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Quality Management, Financial Budgeting, Strategic planning.
• Previous experience in successfully leading and managing an Asian management team.
• Ability to operate and make timely decisions in an ambiguous, fast moving, customer demanding environment where product features change rapidly.
• Experience and exposure in working with +20 contract manufacturing partners
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
