Exciting opportunity for an energetic catering sales professional in the Santa Monica market who can appreciate representing an upscale, luxurious hotel. Hilton Santa Monica Hotel & Suites is searching for an experienced & dynamic Director of Catering, to represent the hotel. Must have a proven track record that demonstrates passion & ability to drive the revenue to meet financial goals.

In the heart of Santa Monica, just a short walk from the pier, you will find the newly renovated and rebranded Hilton Santa Monica Hotel & Suites. This Santa Monica hotel is three blocks away from the beach, providing easy access to some of Southern California’s most popular attractions. After undergoing a multi-million dollar re-modernization, the meeting space and event venues have a subtle, yet impactful design identity showcasing textures, patterns, and color palettes that hint back to the surrounding natural elements. The various meeting and event spaces feature custom chandeliers and custom design carpet. No detail was overlooked while designing this iconic property. The resulting renovation is sure to spark interest, generate curiosity, and enhance the guest journey. We are excited to showcase our much anticipated renovation to the public and we are looking for an inspiring, authentic and determined leader to join us in our journey.


The Director of Catering represents the hotel in the development and strategic leadership of Group and Local Catering Sales in the hotel’s effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This position is responsible for targeting and coordinating catering sales efforts, dealing with corporate and social clientele in a high-end market. The Director of Catering is responsible for planning and managing overall catering functions of the sales department and the total catering operations, ensuring client satisfaction and meeting the sales goals.



Work Experience

Requirements:

* 5 years’ experience in catering sales required.

* Strong selling skills.

* Strong emphasis on details, communication and organization skills.

* Time management skills

* Ability to communicate effectively with public and fellow team members

* Business communication skills including negotiations

* Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required and the applicant must maintain a flexible schedule
