Job Title: Director of College Counselling
Location: Dalian, China
Start Date: Fall 2026

Role Purpose
To lead and manage careers, academic (Secondary), and college counselling across the school.
Reporting to: Head of School and Divisional Principals
Direct Reports: School Counsellors, Counselling & Student Services support staff (dotted line)
Key Responsibilities
Lead college counselling strategy and ensure continuity across programs
Oversee PSAT/SAT on-site testing and maintain accurate academic records
Plan and present parent information sessions
Guide and support counsellors in goal-setting and professional development
Advise leadership, teachers, and parents on academic placement and college admissions
Serve on admissions committee to ensure appropriate student placement
Candidate Profile – Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
Graduate qualification in Counselling
Master’s degree (Counselling, Educational Admin, or Special Education preferred)
Minimum 5 years successful counselling experience
Strong knowledge of U.S. college admissions processes
Experience with SAT/PSAT/ACT test administration and data interpretation
Excellent written and spoken English
Desirable:
International teaching certification or overseas school experience
Familiarity with PowerSchool, CIALFO, Common App, UCAS
