Job Description
Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems. This individual will lead the Electrical Engineering group of about 50-70 people responsible for all functions of the Electrical Design Life Cycle of our Rail Products. This life cycle starts with the bidding phase through the design and delivery of the products including support for Testing and Commissioning. This person will be the Lead Technical person for Electrical Engineering & Design. Included in this group are the Electrical System Engineering Experts controlling all the major sub-systems of the products, Train Control and Diagnostics, Schematic and Harnesses design, RMSH (Reliability, Maintainability, Safety, and Human Factors), and Validation. This individual must have excellent electrical and software experience and expertise proven sound engineering judgment proven good management principles and practices proven budget, schedule, and quality planning and adherence proven strategic planning proven tactical execution good teamwork and communication skills Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience BS degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) + 4 years of experience Experience in the design of Rail vehicles' electrical systems and systems integration Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $151,800 - $282,000 and the annual incentive target is 20% of the base salary.
