Job Description


Summary of Position
Responsible for the entire operation of the housekeeping department and the cleanliness and look of the entire property.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Oversees the overall cleaning and maintenance of guest’s rooms and public areas.
  • Ensure that all department work smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed by all housekeeping staff
  • Ensures that the Housekeeping Department is properly staffed to Mondrian’s budget
  • Oversees work assignments of Housekeeping staff.
  • Ensures high standard of cleanliness and order in Mondrian
  • Develops and implement straining programs for all staff
  • Ensures that Mondrian’s cleanliness standards are maintained at all times through daily walkthroughs with Supervisors and Lead houseman.
  • Ensures that all forms, documents and tracking information for the Housekeeping Department are completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitors production levels to ensure optimum quality delivered by staff
  • Observes and evaluates quality and quantity of work by staff members
  • Adheres to Mondrian’s standards for guest service
  • Completes staff performance reviews
  • Oversees and approves all Housekeeping work schedules to ensure proper coverage and even distribution of workloads
  • Ensures that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
  • Ensures that all guest requests and special needs are addressed in a timely manner
  • Hold daily shift briefings and monthly meetings
  • Inventory supplies on a monthly basis
  • Organizes staff for social and guest functions
  • Requisitions supplies based upon inventory
  • Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, injuries, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately
  • Implement policies and procedures into department.
  • Ensure maintenance is reported and completed by engineering.
  • Must hire based on BBTS, train with use of checklists and training plan and schedule based on occupancy
  • Oversee every department in housekeeping is meeting their responsibilities.
  • In charge of public and guest’s needs.
  • Work within the budget, reducing costs and improving revenues.
  • Works closely with SKYBAR to ensure all furniture is in good condition and look is maintained
  • Ensures back of house is maintained at all times in a clean, safe and efficient manner
  • Maintaining the look of public areas.
  • Maintains pars and attic stock for all furniture in public areas and rooms
  • Ability to quantify and qualify all labor and spending daily and monthly

Pay Range: $100,000 - $105,000


Qualifications


Required Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Organizational skills.
  • Computer skills. (Microsoft: Word, Excel)
  • Good oral and writing communication skills in English.
  • Managerial and administrative skills.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Bilingual preferred.

 Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to be standing for at least 8 hours per day.
  • Fast paced strides are required.
  • Periodically bending and stretching is required.
  • Pull, push, move and carry and lift up 25 pounds of force are required.
  • Must be able to seize, grasp turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to hear and speak clear to communicate with guests and employees.

Assimilate into Ennismore’s culture through understanding, supporting, and participating in all Ennismore elements. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ennismore from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
